i have looked but i dont race on GP Blackwood....well i do sometimes but i dont have any chance of winning! but thanks for helping! and well i doubt they will say yes for a server since it is more expencive! but i will stick to what i said and tell them 500servers is the best!! keep it up! (i got advised here by Ally (Banister) and Zak mates fae school! said you were great for servers so thought i would have a look!)

hey has anyone heard that one of the companines is giving out free servers if you allow them to put advertising up around the track and agree to race with their livery all the time

Quick question Franky when are the servers going to be updated to patch w?

Patch W came with new options and switches in the config file. Which means that each server needs to be upgraded individually. Servers are upgraded when requested by submitting a support ticket to myself, I get to them as soon as possible.

I havent been active much lately, but submit a ticket, and I will get things done.

Pecker - 'we' got emailed about a week ago saying that we could have it updated to W if required, cant quite remember why it wasnt there as a setting to enable us to update via the game panel but there probably was one.

'we' also got an email saying i'd submitted a ticket, which was news to me at the time!! hehe

your lucky you got to try a server for a day, most people are not that generous, 500servers hosts most of the LFS servers we see today. how about you give them a break they are flat out and they do a great Job!

Well I am very new to LFS and decided to host. Trying for 1 month. Server went on-line within 10 mins. I had a few probs to start, but the response from 500 was 1st rate. Server is now running well with no probs.

You are way off the mark with your comments.

I run 4 of the most busy servers on LFS, all 4 come from 500Servers and their service has been fantastic.

Franky500 has been very helpful installing extras such as our tempory license system, about 20 versions of lapper, and loads more on each server.

They are always quick, always does any updates in the early hours when the servers are least busy.

They have loaned us a server to test on without charge.

I would say to everyone take no notice of fthsjustin's comments as they just are nothing like the norm.

In the first post you have a server graph for CD1, this is a 32 / 47 slot server. 32 grid slots and 47 total including spectators (42 without admin slots)

We have this server switched with /carsmax set to 22 because 32 is just manic

This graph in your post only shows the racers on track and not the full number of connections.

If you ask anyone about CD1 they will tell you that the "Race is full" message on CD1 comes up all the time.

Is there a way of showing both racers on track and connections as someone looking at the graph may well think its not full when in fact it often has 42 ppl connected plus a couple of admins.

Hey Birder, That is something i did not realise. it should show all those in the server. I will have to have a look into it before i put them all live then it seems...

@fthsjustin, Sorry if i was unable to give you a free server to use for a day, Unfortunatly we cannot simply give everybody usage of that offer. , I am curious that if you never got a server as to how you came to the conclusion that 500 Servers has the "worst" of the worst crew.
