Tyre status display
This might sound a bit nit-picky, but I think the F9 display would be more intuitive if it was upside-down. See (tiny) attached image.
now it looks like you have a pile of dirt inside your tires
Yeah the dirt's not ideal I'll concede that, although, you'd only be able to see the dirt when it's on the top of the tyre, in open-wheelers, so nyer nyer
oh now that would be confusing... :|
scawen already commented on that and the reason why it shows the top of the tyre rather than the bottom is because the top doesnt flex so he can use a static image instead of one that changes shape with the forces acting on the tyre
I see the logic in that I suppose, but I still think displaying the bottom of the tyre, without flex, would be more logical.
dunno i think it would make noticing a locked wheel under braking too easy
Yeah, what we currently have is because
  1. as mentioned before, tyre flex doesn't need to modeled. And Scawen himself said that he cannot show something imperfect, like a non flexing tyre where it should
  2. it's more realistic, because you could atleast theoretically measure the tyre temp on the top side. But how would you archieve that on the contact patch?
And just FYI, incase you haven't noticed: the tyre temperature is indeed taken from the top of the tyre and not from the current contact patch. So if you lock up, you'll see nothing change for some time, and as soon as the tyre rotates again... why, hello there flatspot.
I agree with AndroidXP, the current arrangement seems to make more sense...
OK... I'll concede, then, that the current tyre display is OK, but I still think the little bars showing camber would be better at the bottom!

I agree, because vertical load on tire is from contact path (and it is at the bottom) and temperatures and tire surface is from the top side.

You could aways think of the diagram as the front of the tyre.
I'd like to see it completely different Keep the orientation this way, but 'rotate' the tyre slowly. At the moment it shows the temperature of the part of the tyre currently on top, but at fast tracks its impossible to see if you have a flatspot/overheated part. If it would rotate the tyre at a slow, constant rate, it would be more easy to judge the state of your tyres.

Of course the tyre loading graphs should be realtime.
