Bug, the sound sounds.. annoying!
First of all, excuse my bad english!

Well, I got a major problem!
After installing and starting LFS
my sound on my computer is totally f* up!

The sound in game sounds bad, like scratsching etc..
and when i quit lfs, the sound is the same in windows!

What is the problem and how to solve?
Because i dont wanna format my disks again and reinstall xp..
because i have just installed xp x64 and with correct drivers! :S

whant some info about my computer? :S
Please help!
Cant stand the annoying sound! Argh!
Right,

Ramberg is having issues with crackling/distorted sound. The issues start as soon as he starts LFS and the sound remains distorted in Windows even after closing LFS.

He says he has updated the drivers for his onboard sound card (I don't know what chip is placed on the Asus M2N-E). He has tried altering the values of the sound lag but to no avail.

Im guessing this is a driver issue. Have anyone else experienced any similar issues lately and found a solution?

Thanks
It sounds crapy, like an old ms-dos game! Even if i reboot my computer, or reinstalling sounddrivers and motherboard!
Whats the problem? It starts when i started lfs!
I have played steam; Counter-strike before without problems!
So its something with lfs to do!

My motherboard is a
Asus M2N-E SLI nForce 500 SLI MCP 4DDR2-DIMM 2PCI 4PCIe SATA Raid Audio GB-LAN Firewire Socket AM2 ATX

And Sound Drivers:
C6501 ?
CM6501 Sound Configuration

I have installed everything with drivers for the x64bit sys
And I have Windows XP Pro x64

AMD Athlon64 X2 Dual-Core 6000+ 3.0GHz 2x1MB
Asus Extreme GeForce 8600GTS 256MB (with x64 drivers)

Should I try update BIOS? Should that do any?
The Asus M2N32-SLI deluxe and M2N-E (same soundchip ADI 1988 iirc) are well known for their problems with the onboard sound.
Some driver versions have the problem others don't.
Maybe try different versions of the sound drivers.

I don't think it's an LFS problem. But
