A request: Whitewindshields with eyeballs..(im serious)
Yeah I have been watching the movie Cars too much but wouldn't it be a cool mod? I mean for the front windshield on the outside have it white with the eyes on it? It could open up new skinning possibilities. Or make it so the skin's color can go over the outside of the windshield but is still transparent on the inside of the car..
Whilst I'm relatively certain you're purposefully out for a bashing, I must point out that your musings are riduculous, preposterous, outrageous, ludicrous, and all kinds of other "ouses" that I can't be bothered to bring to mind to make it seem like this post/thread was worth the joules spent clicking the title to read it.

This request is not possible. All you can do with the windows is tint them, but that's it.

Alright then. That throws my other skin projects out the window but thanks anyway.
Quote from Markz :I've worked with the windows a lot, as you can see, and there's no way to do this..

Obviously you haven't worked with the windows enough. It is entirely possible to put eyes on the windshield. It's quite simple actually (I haven't done it, but I know how it could be done).
Well then please enlighten us. Even though I already know this is not possible, I would like to have a good laugh today.

Just because you don't know how to do something doesn't mean it is impossible.
nothing is impossible you just have to find someway to work your way round it

EDIT: im putting that as my words of wisdom on my sig
I did not say I don't know how to do it, I said I know it is not possible to do it.

Correct me if I'm wrong: The texture for the windows of the cars in LFS is a 16x16 pixel image which is just white with a grey alpha channel, which provides a specific tint for the windows.

Am I wrong here? Please correct me if I am.

If not, then how can you possibly paint two eyeballs on the front windshield? I guess you can't do it without having them repeating a thousand times on all the windows and effectively making the windows opaque. But that wouldn't be of much use now would it? I bet that would look horrible, and it's not what anyone wants.

Apparently, if you get the camera up close and on the right angle and you stare really hard into the windscreen, you can see the eyes.
