Commentary Auditions
My next production, I have decided, will be a race highlights package, where the commentators have already seen the race and commentate it like it was live, with the boring bits cut out.

Usually in these situations there would be two commentators; a lead commentator and a "pundit" who makes general comments into what has been going on, and describes replays. So I am going to run auditions for potential commentators for this video, and for future videos if they want to.

Round one: This involves people sending in 30 second sound files of them commentating on a real/lfs/made-up race. Entires close next Friday.

Round two: I shall choose the best three from that selection, and then send each of them a 2 minute movie file of a race that I shall produce for them. They must commentate on that and then send a sound file back to me, showing what they have done. These files will be dispatched on (to be established).

To be elegable you need:
To be proficient at LFS and know the tracks and how to handle the cars.
A microphone
A valid email address
A messenger (yahoo or MSN) capable of doing voice conversations (this will be for the actual live race commentary)

If you are interested, send your sound files to [email protected] stating your LFS username, with your sound file attached.

I don't know how much interest I'm going to get, so it could end up with nobody entering and just me commentating on the highlights package. We shall see...
In light of my holiday, I will extend round 1 til friday of next week.
#3 - Smax
From my experience commentating on the Sim Touring Car Cup broadcasts I'd seriously advise you to use Skype or one of it's bretheren - better quality & minimal lag.

Since I make Jack Dee sound interesting I will not be putting myself forward [everyone who remembers the STCC broadcasts I did will no doubt be glad of that]

Were you the guy with the deep voice?
And thanks for the advice!
