Hi!

I tried to install a Wingman Formula Force for a friend, but
it simply won´t work. I plugged it into a WinME system, and it works just fine, FF and wheel are top notch.
Anyone has any advice/tip how to get it to work? It would be a shame to throw away a such a good wheel. http://www.pcstats.com/article ... I/wmanforce/largeunit.jpg

I have that wheel too, but I use it on USB and it works beautifully. I'm surprised you can get it to work at all on serial. My old joystick wouldn't work on serial, that was logictech wingman too. Why don't you use USB?

I just want to inform everyone, that the problem is solved
I had to build a non-standard wired serial->USB adapter, and now
the wheel works very well.

Well, the reason I asked was because my wheel has both USB and serial connectors. I figured yours was the same.

i have also converted my serial to usb, works great!

exept that my forcefeedback sometimes shutdown.
i think it might be overheating

Im gonna drag this thread out of its grave and ask if i can just buy an adapter and hope that the wheel will work? Im looking at products like the following:

Does windows XP recognise the wheel or would i be wasting my money?
