A friend of mine bought Overspeed, as he buys every ricer game, and I could try it out.
As it is from Invictus, I hadn't had my hopes all to high. They did make a classic called 1ns4ne, but the latter game, which's name I even forgot, sucked.
Now for the short review: First of all it's really repetitive. I drove three races, all on the same course against the same car (in different paint jobs).
The driving physics are quite okay though. I managed to spin my rear wheel driven car on the first 90 degree corner. Something I didn't expect of a cheap NfS clone.
Also, it kind of resembles the classic Street Rod, meaning you wait for opponents to arrive, which you can challenge. Then you don't race for money, but for tuning parts or pink slips. That is the only way to gain parts
And IMHO the best part of the game, having only won three parts: they actually decrease the performance of the car in a realistic way: bigger wheels make your ride a tad fatser, but decrease acceleration and handling quite drastically. "Aero" parts like sideskirts do nothing except decreasing accelleration.
