Shifting and accelleration
I currently use both the XRT and XRR. What do you guys find faster, as i've seen some WR doing this. When shifting, to gold the gas, clutch in shift to 2nd. Or to put clutch in, release gas, shift, then release cluth+gas.
It's always faster, in the short term at least, to hold the accelerator pedal down during shifting. Over the long term, it may cause engine damage that will slow you a little and the benefit will be lost.

why hold the throttle when shifting? thats not realistic

Drive like that IRL in snow. Fun.
The current lack of clutch and transmission wear (and a bit dodgy shifting mechanism) allows for constant flatshifting without any negative effects. The engine might get damaged a little in some cars, but the performance loss is negligible. Depending on the car, using this technique can give you a huge advantage, so as long as the damage for the parts in question is not implemented, use it.

I do! Oh wait, both my cars are currently auto transmissions

Flat shifting (not lifting the accelerator on upshifts) is a well used technique in various classes of motorsport.
In modern race cars there are usually systems to cut the gas automatically. So while the driver is still flooring the throttle, during the shift it's not giving 100% gas input... unlike in LFS - if you turn off the "throttle auto cut" option. If you turn it off, it doesn't cut automatically but thanks to the non-existant engine damage (excluding the turbo cars), it's fastest way to not use it and still floor the throttle. Though I warn you, with not using it, you will destroy your ears because of the a-m-a-z-i-n-g-l-y annoying sound that comes from the flat shifting.
Quote from SilverArrows77 :Heres a real life example taken from Greg Murphy (V8supercars) - you'll see he doesnt use the clutch for downshifts or upshifts - after the 1:00min mark in the vid ,the flat shifting is clear to see , as he drives down the main straight

That's also known as powershifting isnt it? Right amount of gas, and shift?
the XFG is hte only car i found to work well with lift off throttle shifting.
I really hate the GTR cars where the tach moves to limiter and back when you shift gears. I'd like to see it real GTR style. shift, instant gear change
