Quote from Ball Bearing Turbo :I don't think I know my SteamID ... I'll check when I go home.

I think it might be jgerding, but I'm not sure.

If the majority wants 1.6, then we'll do 1.6.

Why not do both?
hm i think hamachi would work for playing classic cs without steam
I think my steamID is "Kev". I don't really know...
Since we are starting to post steam id's, mine's .... with a huge surprise ... OneCrazyDiamond

Quote from GFresh :But i've never had it not launch a game when i wanted it to.

Switch off your router then have a go.

Can't for the life of me remember my Steam ID (come to think of it it's probably something really original and witty like Mazz)
i dont think i even have a steamid at all

And the password..? lol
Quote from Origamiboy :And the password..? lol

Bollocks (thats not the password either, just my reaction)

Come to think of it i can't even remember which email address i gave when signing up ! Damn it's gonna be a real pain in the arse if i'm gonna have to re-register under a new ID, they're really tight arsed with this kind of thing if i remember.

Think i'll try to re-install it right now and see how far i get.

Don't Cha just love Steam's benevolent attitude towards it's paying customers.

Edit: Bloody hell, that took three and a half hours to install !!.
For others who hav'nt played for a while and can't remember their login details, you can retrieve them as long as you have the CD code/serial number.

Hmm, my router is actually a server running server 2003 as a domain controller. Basically that would be a pain in the arse to shut down, so i won't be trying it out
If a LFS event gets set up when I can actually make it, count me in!

And I don't ever see Steam ads, because I have it open on the My Games page
Been a good long time since I played CS:S properly though.

And for me it'd have to be Source because I don't have any other version

[Edit:
My SteamID is Dajmin. I bet that's a shock, right? ]
I'm sure we can cover both... One event with CS:S, one with 1.6...

havent played CSS in a while, would be interested yeah

could probably aquire CS aswell, as long as we arent playing on steam. Just cant be arsed spending money on it to play it once.
Hmm. Might be more useful if it had more communication options than just a chatroom. Ah well...
So is this "project" dead? Seemed like a good idea.
Well, we still need a server... A provisional date could be set however: how about this Friday, 19:00 or 20:00 UTC to open end? Friday usually is a shorter workday and you don't have to worry about getting up the next day, so that would get the different timezones together best I think...
No probably not dead, I just have the attention span of a gnat often times. It look like a few folks are interested at least. Friday would only work when most of you are sleeping, like 8pm+ GMT-7, or we could do Saturday or Sunday between 1-4pm GMT-7... Those times work for me specifically, let's see if it works out.
Friday is drinking day, don't be so ridiculous. It's also the day we most often have people staying over (infant nephews, siblings, drunks from out of town) and my PC is in the room they sleep in.

NB. Tuesday is also drinking day.
first we should at least settle on which version to use
Would you play Source or are you glued to 1.6 for matters of software principle?
Quote from Shotglass :first we should at least settle on which version to use

We said both. We're gonna do seperate events for each, to include everyone.
