S1 tracks/cars 2 demo
Hello,

I had an idea wich goes like this: In S3: give the s1 cars and tracks 2 the demo racers and give the s2 licensed people the new tracks and cars of s3.

I'd would like that. If you guys don't like it then thats ok.

Greetz, MAE.

No. I'm a demodriver and I am against it. If you want the game, buy it. Don't give more to demodrivers, we already have enough.

No.

I love how demo users think they deserve more content! The dev's have worked hard on the game, if you really like it and want to support it then buy it.

Anyway, S3 is quite a way off now. S2 isn't even finished!

Is this a first? :jawdrop:

I agree, Demo already has enough content to play with.

I hope not, we demodrivers should be thankfull for being able to play three cars and one track online and offline for an unlimited period of time. So I'm nothing but thankfull, although I haven't got a round to get enough cash loose so I can buy S2.

Sorry for Off-topic.

How about we remove every track model apart from Blackwood, and every car model apart from XFG or XRT, and remove their DDS files.
And remove multiplayer too :P

+1

Make the S2 download archive restricted access, only viewable when you log in with a valid S2 account. Obviously that's not going to happen with the mirror sites and the problem of sharing the acounts database, but removing all non-demo content from the demo download would be a good idea because it would decrease the number of users who crack LFS and it would decrease the size of the demo installer by a huge amount.

On the original topic I say a huge no. Demo users who haven't paid for LFS are already spoilt as it is, giving them all S1 content free is a laughable idea.

Hey, great idea. ¬¬

And make S3 a free update for S2 lincensed users...
That is possibly the most stupid suggestion I've ever heard, and on here that's saying something. Of course you "would like that" - it'd mean you got more for free!
The current LFS demo is extremely generous (some say too much so) with 3 cars and a handful of track combos as well as unlimited online play.

Have you ever worked hard on something? Would you like it if a couple of months down the line someone said you should work on something newer and give the old stuff away for free?
I agree with Dalarna - content provided for demo is already too much.

However the average behaviour found on demo servers compensates the generosity of the devs, so the incentive to get a full license should be strong enough for those who want to race and keep wreckers in demo.
The only question left, though, is how this forum can show us demo users that S2 is fair and close racing, good competition and no hacking / swearing / wrecking deliberately or stupidly.

So no to more demo, we have more than enough as I see it because BL1rev is seldom used for races.

I will buy a license - someday...
You demo racers want to make the Dev's mad?

they will remove everything in demo and give you guys only the XFG and Carpark as track.

Please don't generalise, 2 out of 3 demodrivers in this thread is against it thinking that we already have enough so please rephrase that post. Not all demodrivers are the same you know.

Ooops, sorry 'bout that then.
Was just in a bit of an argument on another forum and it got a bit rough so I might be a little tense. Again, sorry about that.

I just had to do that!
why not give every lfs player free money? 10€ would be nice for starters.

We had that in S1, it was called S1 Demo version, but that lead to confusion, that's why in S2, there's only 1 version.
Why not make the entire LFS program free? It would save a lot of headaches about "I can't afford it, parents won't let me, it's not fair because I live in a poor country", etc, etc. After all, the reason LFS was started and the reason LFS is where it is now is because the developers have a passion for racing and a passion for coding this sim. It's just silly that they should actually be able to make a living on their years and years worth of coding. They can go code for some big gaming company and get paid for that while just doing LFS on the side as a hobby and release it for free.

Is that asking too much? [/sarcasm]

meh, that would be a spoiler
I think demo is good as it is now, if you like it, buy the game.
Be happy demo is'nt just 10 minutes in one track with one car!

No, no, no!!!
Demo racers have enough if you ask me.. if they want S1 content, than they should buy S1 (only £12) of go all the way with S2 (£24). If they are sick of noobish behavior on demo servers that should be an extra reason to get S1 or S2.
