Where are the developers?
I was just wondering where the developers have been. It's been like a couple of months since an Update / patch release. And maybe its because they aren't testing it anymore, but I was kinda hoping to keep updating my LFS game as they were doing in July... I loved watching the progress even in small bursts... So, my guess would be either a really large, new system is being added, or the devs just want to surprise us with a ton of new little things... Hope to here from someone that really knows whats going on...
i think they are....... working?
Its only been a month.

Patch X took a long time and they are having a well deserved break, if they are not working hard again already...
Well, I know they deserve a break... But I was just getting so used to the updates and it was really nice to actually see things changing...
I think they're working hard, so they don't spend a lot of time here .
Yeah, I've not seen them around for a while. Lets hope they're working their socks off!
Yeah I wasn't expecting them to answer... would have been interesting but you know...
Victor is probably sitting in front of his television suffering because his internet connection is down ^^
Give them time, I bet we'll see that test patch thread open in a month or two.
There over there.
There over there laughing at rFactor since it is a dead game now.

Here come the rFractor fans running with pitch forks and torches since there game in back in the stoneage.
Dang! I was looking over here
Many of the things confirmed for the upcoming patch are not something we'll see in test patches I'd bet; Westhill, Kyoto and South City updates, cockpit updates, AI upgrade, physics updates... I doubt any of that will be in a test patch.

tbh, i hope thats true, will be much beter for all of us
it has been a couple of months. maybe we are just expecting updates frequently becuase of all the recent test patches.
still, I really want patch Y to come out!
Well, I admit to popularising the idea they'd gone to the Bahamas earlier in the year, so now I'll try to popularise the idea that they are hard are work, programming physics engines, making great tracks and producing web sites. The guys are hard at work and we won't hear any more from them until they've got something to tell us. When they do tell us something, my experience tells me, it will be worth the wait.

While I agree in theory, the greedy part of me wants to see this stuff in test patches so that I get it sooner
Yeah, I was just thinking it had been awhile. Not really thinking this would get any test patches... I guess we all have become acustomed to getting lots of little patches that show some improvments... I enjoyed...

Patch Y is going to be an incompatible patch, and my understanding leads me to believe that we won't see very much at all before the patch is released this time.

There is a different universe somewhere out there, where LFS is being developed and made even more excellent. We know it's there, but we can't see it and we can't communicate with it. We just know that things out there are changing. We have to wait at this side until a wormhole appears, and a new LFS explodes onto the scene.

Strange, but true!
I think the devs should have the community test at least the new AI system, but hey that's just my opinion.

Would that it were so simple, but I don't think it is. Changes to the physics mean that the LFS being developed will be incompatible with LFSW. This means that, even if the devs wanted us to test it, there would be too many obstacles and incompatibilities to overcome.

I'm happy to wait, personally. I like surprises
wtf are they gonna do after they get to patch 'Z'!
create A new alphabet. ?:boing:
Ever heard of Greek? It's ready and waiting.
Quote from Bob Smith :Ever heard of Greek? It's ready and waiting.

in case you havent notice were already using greek characters
LFS_S2_ALPHA_X.exe
LFS_S2_BETA_A.exe

Yea, they'll likely just do that. ^

I heard people saying "I guess when they get to Z it's S3 time." But that is HIGHLY unlikely.
