Well, we in the racing sim community have our fair share of great cockpit/racing setup building. Those in the flight sim community also have their share of great cockpits/flying setups. But first person shooters? I just found this from another forum and it would be a great base for a first person shooter "cockpit". hehehehe

The best for a FPS would be this with a some kind of virtual reality google with a gun in your hand
I tried the google with the gun a very long time ago! It was very impressive but the image was slightly blured! Too bad those kind of technologies didn't make it to our living room!

That is awesome. But I think it would probably make me sick in less than a minute. Especially with a VR helmet on.

Im trying to figure out how the thing goes sideways when the blanks seem arranged in one direction but then he never moves very far laterally when he's demonstrating - was this an accidental ommission in the demo or by design?

no..., its like that rubberband wich u use during fitness just moves forward and backward (i guess just a lil sideways now), but i guess in Highway Tampa ull have to rest every 10 seconds
