I like looking at peoples statistics on their licences. It's good to see how many wins, podiums and races people have managed.

The ranking at the moment is by points and that's fine but it simply rewards those who spend most time racing. Those at the top of the ranking have generally done more races than those at the bottom.

What I think would be cool is if we could view other statistical information. An average number of points per race completed would be totally cool and a good indicator of a drivers race craft. If we could then order the list by different stats that would be even cooler!

Other stats could include:

Wins:Race Finishes Ratio
Podium:Race Finishes Ratio
Total Races:Races Finished Ratio
Points:Total Races Ratio

I'm sure there are others. All good indicators of the drivers skills.

I'm sure there might be other suggestions.

+1 for the 'points per race' idea, that would certainly be an interesting one to put in!

There are some good ideas for stats here

Some of them can't be handled as a ratio, because of the staggered way in which they have been introduced.. for example points:races takes two numbers to make.. one of which we counted from the beginning, and the other that we didn't count until 6 months in to the project

For any that can be fairly processed, I'll get to it. I'm thinking about an alternative licence look-up page, which people who are logged in to MyCTRA can view. I don't really want to create two licence pages, and I really like the licence lookup that we have.. but an alternative per-user statistics analysis look-up page would be fun to have

Yeah I'd really like to be able to follow a link from the license look up to show everything you see on your My CTRA page

I'd say the average is 3 or 4 times. But some are quite persistent!

I'm kidding about using that stat, of course, but don't they get a message or something, telling them why they were kicked?

I woud like to see false start penalties shown.

Also, I would like pit lane speeding penalties shown.

Flip, I believe they get spammed the message enough to fill the history buffer.

No surprise then, that putting the rules on the entry screen only effected those drivers who already raced by them ...

I think it would be quite nice to either see the stats for a recent time period only or maybe to have the ability to reset the stats. As I can imagine many drivers that didn't take it very seriously early on, or were still learning would like to know their "current/recent" statistics.

Good idea - for the points / finishes / wins / yellows ratios I suppose it would be possible to run these on a monthly basis? You could then have a monthly award for each displayed in a kind of "Hall of Fame" page on the site. Immortality on the raceauthority.com would probably be a good incentive to hit the servers.
