Well, i dont know about giving the a.i a drift setup. Or actually, in your options somewhere, there is a box that says "a.i use player setups" or something. Click that, and then put yourself a drift set on.

The comment about a.i being too stupid to drift is....well,stupid.

Sure, they cant react as fast as us, but one time when i was messing with a.i, i hit one of the a.i onto the grass (accident, i swear!) and this caused him to drift. He kept it going, and had good angle too
Quote from simscube :you can't to my knowlege, the AI is too stupid to drift

u can
may not produce the "perfect" drifts a human can get but it works.
i made a drift setup for the AI a while back, i may have a look for it later.
i tried creating AI drift setups, but after one lap the AI would just drive the car to the limits of it's tyres grip and stay there. My AI learns too quickly.
a quick solution for that is to give the AI a setup with VERY soft rear tires, and when they drive on their limit u raise the air pressure until they start to drift.
usually they dont slow down as long as they dont make too much mistakes.

Here's a set I got off this forum a while back, author unknown.

Just take your drift setup, throw the braking power more to the rear, and your set. Let them out a few laps to get used to the set, they will try and brake hard (causing the back end to kick out) so they counter steer to keep the car together, it turns into a decent drift. I noticed after 30-40 laps of that they got used to the setup and could drift a lap or two decently. Fun to twin beside.
