S2 Season 9 & 10 coming up
The OWRL will continue in 2007 with two more Formula V8 and Formula XR seasons. Most of the rules stay the same, but the larger grid sizes and new start procedure in LFS will surely make the racing even more interesting. In the two upcoming seasons, the OWRL drivers will move to all kind of circuits where they can fight to prove that they are the best open wheel driver in their class. Div B (FOX) drivers also fight for a position in the top 7 to promote to Div A in between Seasons 9 and 10.
The changes in the rules are a result of the patch released after S2 Season 8 finsihed. We will now allow 24 drivers per servers in both Div A and B. We no longer will start the races with a lag lap as a false start can lead to problems by the real start. Other than that, the rules stay the same, meaning we will have a sprint and a main race in Div B with the top 8 finishers from the sprint race reversed for the start of the main race.
In the Formula V8 division races will be about 75 minutes long. In the previous season, Ever Last Racing whitewashed the final standings by taking the first 3 positions in the final standings. The question is who can prevent them from doing the same in this season. DM|Enrixo and Mar|Alex, the top two from the Div B in last season will certainly have something to say in their debut FO8 season.
New drivers will start in Division B, the Formula XR division. Drivers have to register for each event, which also means they can choose to drive single races. Grids will be made using the personal bests of the drivers that take part. You can see and register for the events at Upcoming events.
