i'm having Safari crash issues when tring to post new threads. its been happening every sence the recent fourm upgrades. after a number of trys i can get a tread window like this one. what can i do short of using another browser?

Nothing get opera it's alot safer than safari any way's,And much better.Safari is always going to be buggy and a memory eating slut.
I would but I have all my preferences and book marks set just so. and quicktime doesn't work on some other browsers

No, I'm just wondering if it has any features that makes it any better than e.g. Firefox? But I have to wonder why Apple bother to port the browser over to the Windows platform, when the market is pretty much divided between IE and Firefox. It surely will need some outstanding features if it's intending to beat those two.
I dunno, I honestly can't stand the way Safari deals with tabs and stuff, very annoying.
I can't stand the way IE deals with tabs and such. I suppose you get used to it.
Not really, i use Firefox, IE works but it just lacks the extensions i want and Safari is a RAM whoring buggy piece of crap i can't be bothered to uninstall.

I haven't tried the Windows version, but the Mac version has some unique features, like dragging the tabs around to reorder them or dragging one tab out of the tabs bar to create a new window. It also allows you to resize dynamically text boxes in any form (textareas, not text inputs), to drop an icon onto a file input element (instead of clicking on Browse and selecting the file), etc. I would expect the Windows version to have these features too.
To the original poster: File the bug to Apple, please. You're using a beta version and the reason why this beta has been released was to find and fix such bugs. It wouldn't take you much longer to report it to Apple than it did to post about it here, and at least it would be useful (I believe there's even a "Report Bugs To Apple" command in one of the menus).
next time it crashes I will do that
I do actually like some of the new features in Safari 3.0 Beta (OSX), like the ability to create a dashboard item with a simple selection, but in windows it's too :s to use.

I think you'd be more better reporting that to Apple, than here, seeing that crash is directly in the OS/Safari.
