Hey guys,

Since that topic a while back about having an LFS - Counter Strike meet (I can't find it now), I think we should do some today.

I'll be on most of the day today any time, so we could all just get online when we feel like it or set a time?

Lets get this actually organised. Rather than just talk about it.

I've added a poll too, so we can choose between 1.6 and Source.

I don't know if I can get us a server privately, but we can always go and invade one of the 5,000 usually available empty ones.

CSS, couldnt get my hands on a copy of CS1.6 fast enough. any time after the GP finishes would be good.

Edit: 1PM here, hmm.

I suppose we could just have it open all day, then you can drop in. But that would give a less consistant member flow, so there might only be like 1 or 2 on a server at the time you join.

Having it at a certain time would get everyone on at once.

I would be intrested in this, Been as CSS is so leet.

There's like no difference between GG maps and normal ones.

You can get new skins for the guns (be careful which one though, some servers restrict the use), New sounds, New textures for maps, new sprays..Its awesome.

Most GG maps dont use dynamic lighting so that can be played (up to 60fps in some cases) on even integrated graphics chips, in directx7 mode (doesnt look pretty but plays ok).

Maps such as Dust, Office etc use dynamic lighting and so wont reach over 10fps on a equivalent system.

Personally I wouldn't play 1.6, I used to play it but I don't have it downloaded and installed atm, and I much prefer Source anyway.

Sadly wouldn't be up for it today as I need to redownload Source too so I'd be out of action until tomorrow really.

So any one agreed on time? Or it is just get in when you fell like it? I haven't played CSS in yonks but it could be fun.

You can't remove it. You can try running it in a lower direct x mode, just add -dxlevel 70 or -dxlevel 80 to the shortcut target. Might make it run a bit better.
