... I don't really like it, actually. maybe because I had a cinquecento for too long . however, combined with a city-track (and I'm not talking about monte carlo or NFS-like tracks but more like a hunt through rome's backstreets) it might be excellent.
to the topic: I was going to say "well, they all ARE japanese, aren't they?" - but then there was VTiRoj's post. that's the nice thing about LFS.
nevertheless I thought an easy carbuilder might be cool. you enter some values for the powercurve / turbo behaviour, weight, downforce & drag, add a 3d-model and there you go.

all in due time, all in due time. =] good things come to those who wait.
By the way, there is a way to make the cars look more like silvia s15 & co (more rice) by using fake lights. Somes like them, other don't. I personally think it give another look to the car (exemple: here and here). Not, it's not a way to self promote But it will be more quicker and easier than waiting for the dev releasing a complet car editor. I'm shure that if they do (in 2 or more years) we will see these cars ingame. Remeber LFS is all about "wait and see"
I'm not a fan of the added lights to the front of XRG/GT as most really look ridiculous. I have to say though, your first screenshots in your Master Skinnerz garage looks very nice. The combination of better done lights and the fact that you covered the stock XRT lights with graphics to hide them does the trick. Most people just plaster on a poor resolution graphic on the front and they look horrible.
LFS is one of the bigest online race games at the moment for a simple reason that it is NOT open souce. See how well rTractor does for pickup play because it has modding.
I used to be pro the idea but am going off it as more and more crap is released for rT. Car factory sounds like it has helped but can't see rT beating LFS for online in a long while.
