I noticed on the front page that this guy has done 64 races and 4757 laps, which works out at 74 laps a race, and the races would have to be slightly longer on average because of his retirements.

Is there some secret CTRA endurance server that I've missed or something? I know the odd lap between races may get counted but still I can't see many people managing 60 laps between restarts

The laps are counted from when you started STCC/CTRA racing.
The races are counted from the start of the X-System.

Nahh, you've got it right. This is one of the reasons we want to reset the statistics in the future.. the points at which we began collecting statistics other than just licence points are staggered, which means we can only use them as talking points and nothing more at the moment

There is also the fact that Bump n Jump entries add to your races number, but laps aren't counted.
