Very nasty from the video it is clear that the middle plane was finishing a loop the loop when he realized he was going to pull up into the path of the other two who were heading towards each other (presumably as part of the show), you can see he tries to dive at the last moment but there's nothing anybody can do. When you enter a loop the loop, even at high altitude, you've just got to try to be sure it's clear, minimal chance of seeing anything once you've actually entered the maneuver.

@Scrabby - they'd of come down with the planes, most likely an instant death upon collision

Looks like the plane on the Right, stays quite intact, I would imagine he died once hitting the floor.

Never knew Poland did Airshows, maybe this is why :/

Very sad to see. Thank god the pilots were the only victims though, none of the crowd were injured.
I just watched the crash on youtube then clicked on another airshow crash featuring an SU-27 (only because it's a plane i fly in Lock-On) and i have just witnessed one of the most harrowing vids I've ever seen. Truly shocking.

Without getting into Gory details - Rammsteins song "Ramstein" about an air crash at the US Air Base of Ramstein in Germany in which some stunt planes collided and apart from showering the crowd in debris, also managed to douse a queue for an Ice Cream van in flaming jet fuel.

*shudders*

At least they died in the least painful way...

Lets just say that the SU-27 crash involved the plane ploughing into the crowd , killing 84 and injuring 100's more.
The footage of the aftermath is one of the most upsetting things I've witnessed, almost on a par with the vid of the aftermath of an American bomb that killed loads of innocent young kids in Iraq. Pretty stomach churning stuff, and enough to make anyone think about the futility of war, though that's for a whole different thread.

hmm...I'm not trying to 'out gore' you btw, before you get that impression.

(not to sound uncared or harsh but) Atleast they died doing what they loved and prefer dying like that then be cut into pieces in a car crash IMO:bartsimps but still: R.I.P.
