i installed gtr 2 a few weeks ago, now it used to show 28-30% of my ram being used at idle but after i installed GTR2 it went up to 50+ whats GTR running in secrect?, oh btw i uninstalled it and it went back down to 28% needless to say i wont install it again

That makes no sense.

Go to task manager and order it by memory usage - i doubt you'll find GTR2.exe is even running.

nope its not. all i know is before i installed it, it was showing 30% being used then after install 50% and when i unistalled it - 30% again

Well unless you checked which process was using all the RAM your theory is nothing but circumstancial at best.

Maybe the ram itself just..."hopes" up, or whats the name for it.
Try to use programs to clean the ram, try programs like Ram2Free or something, they usually helps my computer, since the ram tends to fill itself up

Edit : name on program I use is Ram2Free from GDS

Are you using Vista? If yes, maybe it thinks of GTR2 as "frequently used program" and preloads the data into RAM so it can start up faster.

yes i am using vista, but why would it do it for gtr 2 and not other games like battlefield 2142 which i play all the time?
