bought s2 license a few days ago as an impulse without really knowing how great this game is. i got addicted over the past few days, but i really feel like a newbie at this game online...

i really need some tips about some basic setups/settings BOTH for the game and for the cars. im currently using a keyboard and for the graphics part: 7800GT @ 1920x1200p

should i use stabilizer on the keyboard settings? steel/return rate?

are there any basic graphics options i should fix asap?

what are the most basic settings to change to make a car go faster? gear ratios? tyre pressure? suspensions? i have no clue at this area...


please help me. im a good driver, both in games and for real and i know all about ideal racing lines, braking points etc, BUT WHEN IT COMES TO SETTINGS ALL OVER THE GAME I HAVE NO CLUE

You could try using a mouse to steer. It's a really common thing here. But the key is, don't give up on it right away, let yourself get used to it first. 1920x1200 seems like quite the resolution for a 7800. But experiment with AA & AF settings.

Eh? Since when? Only if "common" is "the next best thing" to you, you're right... The big majority of LfS users here on the forums and in general use a wheel, as it fits a racing simulator...
