When you finish just hit ESC to go into the options menu. Then, if anyone hits you it won't destroy your wheel. Pitting is always a good solution too.
I agree with Ratz, wrecking other cars purposely after a race should be banned. I just came out of an encounter with a person that was driving the wrong way and ramming people after a race. I said something to him and the end of the next race, he targeted me personally. Driving backwards and slamming me. Real nice. But, I had a good battle with him the next race (I managed to not let out the temptation to not brake at the nearest corner and send him into the wall), but we got into a tangle on the last lap.

That's not the point, though. You shouldn't have to do anything just because other drivers suddenly decide they want to start crashing into you.

I am a new driver. I have raced very little on some of the tracks, and I tend to use the time in between races to try to warm up. Ok, some of you will say I could do this offline, but I want to race with real clean people as well.

I agree, therefore, that wrecking at the end should be banned on CTRA servers. If you want to crash a bit, talk to a few friends and set up a separate server. Then, have all the fun you want crashing around without affecting other people.

It's a way of relieving tension after a race. I do it and have never gotten harassed about it because (most) people know that it's all in good fun. Think of it this way... if you know someone who's a terrible passer, you (or I) will give him/her as much room as possible, sometimes just letting them by until they make an inevitable mistake. Instead of trying hopelessly to alter that driver's actions, I just take some easy precautions to prevent something more serious from happening. It's the same thing really, if you know (and I can guarantee) that someone is going to slam into you after a race because you're still sitting on the track, then either move off of the track or take a simple precaution yourself (ESC) rather than expecting someone else to. I don't see many practical purposes for sitting on the track anyways, unless you're trying to collect post-race car data. We generally aren't compasionate people, in my experience.

Now as far as banning the actions from the CTRA servers, that's up to Becky.
