What do you think about it?

I think your wrong there, Porsche engines are in teh back, apart from the oddly crap 928, 968 and 944 which aren't popular enough to want to put into a game tbh.
PFfffrt, okay... a porsche 911 if you prefer... porsche watches and porsche hard drives exist too, but they are not similar to the fz5...
yummy, opel speedster. The N/A versions are crap, but i once had a ride in a VXR220, omg what a ride! The car grips so bloody well!

Not as good as the exige mind :P Beautyful car
.... vx and vxr are similar in grip performance but vxr is equiped with better tires and wheels... Ne juge pas quand tu ne connais pas.

And about my cars physics comparison, someone can suggest something to compare XRT and XRG, Maybe BMW e30 for the weight and behaviour? I speak about this old car because 1100-1200 kg is light for a recent car.
Quote from danowat :Whaaa? , at least my description makes some sense

jeez...

the subaru impreza wrx sti came with a over scooped hood ( hood with tons of dips and cups on it :S )

hence the scooby part also people have a horriable of adding roofscoops
for " traction ".... whats so hard to understand ?

The FZ50 engine is in the back to...
The 928 was hardly crap by the way.

Nothing, all of that is perfectly understandable............
mk 1 + 2 xr2 were called scooby's first

Are you kidding me? Roof scoops are NOT for traction. They do nothing to modify the handling of a car, short of adding slight drag and mass. Roof scoops are for delivering cooler air to the drivers, as it gets very hot inside of one of those cars, and the windows tend to stay up to keep dirt and debris out.

Hood scoops push air through the top-mounted intercoolers.

It's Scooby, not Scoopy. The name has jack to do with scoops.

And Scooby means SUBARU. Not Impreza. Scooby can be used to refer to anything from Legacies, Imprezas, etc.

gThis thread has gone way off topic, but I could feel my brain cells killing themselves off one after another with all the misinformation in here.

The engine in a 911 is in the back, it couldn't possible be equal to the FZ5, the 0-60 / 0-100 times ALONE would see a HUGE difference.
It's depend on the 911 version, porsche made many of them
Quote from danowat :As far as I know it, it's rhyming slang, Scooby=Scoody Doo=Subaru

It is.

Similar to Pug, for peugeot. (I guess)
Quote from bbman :As it is in the FZ5...

its not. The engine in the FZ5 is in the front. Traditional front engined, RWD layout.
Quote from Nathan_French_14 :its not. The engine in the FZ5 is in the front. Traditional front engined, RWD layout.

The FZ5 is rear engined, RWD just look at the weight distrubution.

Weight dist:
38.0 F 62.0 R

http://www.lfs.net/?page=contents&car=fz50

No front engined RWD car has 62% of its weight at the back. And if it did, I wouldnt want to know what it looked like
and also not all impreza sti's came with roof scoops. only the light weight sti type RA's came with roof scoops.

next time if your not sure just say nothing instead of making your self look stupid!

roof scoops for down force! funiest thing ive heard for ages
Quote from Secondaries :Are you kidding me? Roof scoops are NOT for traction.

As absolutely horrible as his grammar is, I'm pretty sure theirishnoob put quotation marks around "traction" to suggest that it's a belief he doesn't hold himself.

Anyway, AndroidXP pretty much explained it already. The physics engine is designed to mimic car behaviour based on suspension type, chassis dimensions, weight distribution, etc. Whether the car is real or not shouldn't matter as long as everything works as it should.
While the visual model is deceiving, the FZ5 is most likely a RR vehicle due to weight dist.
(as mentioned somewhere above). Another reason why people associate it with a Porsche is the flat 6 (aka boxer engine).
The look itself would also suggest a Porsche wanna-be, although rather a korean copy of it (sorry to all the korean people here).
The problem with the model is that the back is too low and flat to suggest RR (the long hood doesn't help either).

RB4 is a celica 4x4 almost spot on, and if I remember correctly, it used to have a bigger wing as well in the past making it a celica even moreso.

XRT looks and feels a bit like the Mk2 supras, yet a bit "heavier" (just feel wise).

LX's are seven.

UF1 is a morris or cooper or another car from that era.

All the other cars look simply as generic versions of their class without particulary focusing on one vehicle alone.

This all is obviously just my opinion as only Scavier know what they were thinking when they were making these.

who in their right mind calls subies a "scooby", other than the moronic (pre)teenage boys and old farts driving nothing but american? I woudn't be cought dead calling a RS, a WRX or a STI anything but just that. To each his own, I guess

Th uf1 could be a more modern car like this, the daihatsu trevis:

I'll take the 944 over any new Porsche out today. That car had class, power, and handling. Will it outrace some of the newer ones, nah...

Does it look damn nice when it tries? Your damned right.

I've NEVER driven a car that handled as good as the 944...to each his own, though.
Personally, i love the 911 because it's the only car with rear engine in production now.
Maybe the smart is rear (middle?) engined.

The FZ5 is rear engined, with that weight bias...

The 928 and 968 are also noteworthy cars. Great handling and underrated by a lot of people. The problem is the majority of the examples of those three models that I've seen have been neglected to the point it should be criminal.
XRG = Porsche 944, Mitsubishi Starion.
Maybe the FZ5 is mid engined with a rear mounted gear box

Ben, stop trying to be clever. You just look an idiot.
the FZ5 doesn't handle like a RR car. If its not FR then its MR... at besides, where does the engine go, if it is RR?
