"Fixed" Dragstrip
Hey!

Went to a friends place to test the dragstrip on the full S2-version.. I have a licens for dragracing IRL and i thought that it was very strange that the startline wasn´t "fixed" you know "slicky" as it is IRL...

I think that it would be a great improvment if they fixed that, and a really long rallycourse wouldn´t be all wrong either...

PS. Got stuck on driving full s2 so i just bought a license .DS

Thanks for a great game!

/Niclas
+1 for the long rally track, can be a circuit, but with some good jumps
I have no idea what you mean by "fixed" or "slicky" startline. What are you on about?

im guessing like really sticky. the start of a dragtrack is as grippy as possible, what with all the cars laying down rubber and that.
...but he sad sLicky, not sTicky, which is the opposite. I don't get it either, that's why I didn't mention it in my first reply, hehe Sorry dude.

He probably means the water put on so you can do a burnout because the water makes it slippery and therefore makes it easier to do a burnout.

It's actually a kind of rubber solvent, isn't it? But that has nothing to do with a "fixed" starting line, i.e. one that doesn't move... but we have that already, anyway!

Methinks something was lost in translation...
He might as well mean by "fixed" something like "ready, rigged, prepared" or "repaired". No idea. I summon you, the original poster, you cometh here and explain thy thoughts to us, miserable ignorants.

Tires with ideal temperature on start could be good. But i dont think so it will be big difference at finish line. Your reaction makes bigger difference.
do you mean in hotlapping mode you start half way down the track? fix that?
What I would like is to reset the car back to the starting line and ready to go for another run after passing through the finish line. Some short pause to at least read the times would be useful too. Drag by drag by drag by drag....

But I'd sooner say, Get thee hence & poſt no more!
I mean sTicky! Sorry!

That´s what i meant, sorry, couldn´t find the right word

Well, slicks are sticky.

I imagine eventually we will see different grip levels on certain parts of tracks (more slippery off the racing line, and also this type of thing).
Maybe could be good thing options to choose Tire temperature at race start. Including normal races. This could be good for short races.
a stickier launch pad would be wonderful. A real drag strip is prepped with both chemicals and rubber, and gets rubber laid down from the tires. Also, if we could get incremental times too. 60 foot, 330, 660, 1000, and 1320 feet, with the mph at the 660 and finish line

Thats not Water lol, its Grip Juice...
My Dad and 2 of his Brothers were/are drag racers, and alot of our family friends are too, Im not sure of its compound, but its adds stickyness to the tires, but is thin enough not to cause drag, thats why you will see lower powered cars drive around the Juice, because their cars aren't powerful enough to use it effectively

It is water in the water box. You pull into the water and through it and do a burn out. The water helps the tires to start spinning.

As far as I know whater is used for cleaning the rubber...don't know anything about grip juice tho...

They talk from glued track (free translation) in here, there is lot more grip on start area than on normal tarmac, don't know maybe whole track is made grippier with some chemicals or something, I'm not too keen on drag racing so I know quite little from it actually.

How many times, its not water. Even if it works like you are suggesting.
i dont get what hes saying, BUT i do think that we should have the prestaging burnout to get the tires up to temp. and to make us stage and not be at the line already. cause thats just plain retarded!

you think a car with 800 whp needs help to spin tires..? it comes down to flooring it and holding the brake..
