Fair enough, and I'd hate to think I'd verbally abused anyone tbh.
Certainly i take the piss a bit at times, though it's never meant in a malicious way.
The only person i can think of that i may have mouthed off at(if it could be considered that) on these forums recently is dougie-lampkin, and quite frankly he was the one with a shirty attitude, i just responded in kind.

On servers I'm pretty damn tolerant if you ask me. I may occasionally chuck the 'idiot' word about, and never undeservedly so, but generally i don't think you will find anyone complaining about me. I seem to get on well with nearly all my fellow racers.

I know you said you cant be bothered, but I'd genuinely like to see some links to posts where you feel I've 'verbally abused' people. maybe you could PM me some.

I'm certainly big enough to apologise to people if I've been genuinely nasty. I'm not that sort of person at all.
We all post things on occasions when were a little bit stressed that may come out/be interpreted in the wrong way, but i don't think I've ever been deliberately abusive towards anyone here.
That doesn't mean im suddenly going to pander to the over sensitive PC brigade though
I feel that Moose is one of the nicest guys around, i've never seen him verbally abuse anyone in the servers i've been on with him and the forum. Also, it was more funny than abusive with the dougie-lamkin IMO.

I have no idea where on earth you're coming from, CSU. I've seen absolutely nothing of what you're describing. Apart from dougie's attack, which sparked what I thought was a mild response from The Moose, I've not seen what you're claiming at ALL.

And WTF do you get off on even posting about it, CSU?
Quote from CSU1 :[my opinion]36 my arse, I've seen the way you talk to forum members around here, these past few months your attitude stinks, you seem like a different person. try be less abusive too people around you mate. and don't even ask me to point out where you have a bad attitude and go looking for your posts because I couldn't be arsed Moose, you/your attitude has changed for the worse.[/my opinion]

Your opinion isn't worth the keyboard it's written on. In fact it's your attitude that stinks and it is you who have been abusive. In my experience, Moose and been more than courteous and should be an example to you in how to behave both online and on forum.

Actually CSU, I think you are a bit of a stalker as why else would you post here? Judging from your licence details you obviously have no interest in CTRA and the only motive I can think of is that you are some sort of attention seeking, closet fan-boy. I could go on, but like you, I can't be bothered. Now, push off, theres a good chap. Your 10 minutes of fame are up

Oooh.. I could happily drink a few pints right now. I keep crashing my GT2 FZR
Thanks for your kind words guys. I didn't think i suddenly turned into some kind of monster overnight, and you've managed to reassure me that's not the case.

CSU obviously has a problem with me and he's entitled to his opinion. As he hasn't been able to respond to my request I'm happy that I haven't caused offence to half the LFS community

Lets get back to the racing then

OMG, if there is one guy who doesnt abuse anyone its moose. I did some beta testing with him but never a faul word. Even i never seen him abuse people in CTRA servers. Yeah he is blunt but thats moose.

Get used to it, he isnt the guy for long chats in game. But that has got nothing to do with being abusive. If you make the statement like you did you better back it up with some examples.

Now your just shouting and take the piss at moose.

...as Moose said I'm entitled to my opinion. I have never been abusive to anyone here. Honestley, I didnt realise I was in the CTRA section, does it matter..., posting my opinion on someones attitude = attention seeking closet fan-boy? what the hell are you talking about?
Quote from SamH :hehe!
The swear filter, recently renamed the abuse filter by me and Becky, isn't actually intended to catch and kick every person who swears. What it's really intended to do is curtail some of the out-and-out abusive tirades that people occasionally get into.

What I have done, and will continue to do, is - if I catch someone deliberately circumventing the filter, in order to hurl some attrocious language - I'll hand out short-term (2 day) bans purely on the basis that it's clear and deliberate disregard for the rules we've set out. Getting caught by a swear filter may result in a kick, but pre-meditated circumvention can result in a suspension.

Just cos I'm mean.

well, sort of on topic, I guess....

I just realised I may have broken this rule last night I said "feckin" but I wont again, I mean, I have enough self control to not to... but I didnt even realise that I had done it, and reading that made me think. I do actually say "feckin" out loud sometimes like if I bump my little toe on the door ill say out loud, feckiinnnnn door ow!!. But I wont now.
Quote from CSU1 :CTRA, wouldn't touch it with a barge pole, too many planks.

And I'm the one with an attitude problem?? Stunning.
Quote from CSU1 :...as Moose said I'm entitled to my opinion.

Indeed you are, but when it's based on something you cant back up you loose all credibility.

^^^ Came across as fairly abusive to me.

This is the problem with swearfiltering.. it introduces this notion of things either being allowed or not allowed. The filter is supposed to try to kick the people who are being abusive towards other people, and that's all it's supposed to be.

Forget the swearfilter. Look at the whole thing this way instead..

If what you're saying is angry and abusive towards another user, and is likely to bring down the mood of the server as a whole, then you shouldn't say it.

If what you're saying might be inappropriate for younger eyes, then we'd rather you didn't say it.

If what you're saying isn't abusive, isn't going to bring down the mood of the server and isn't inappropriate for younger players to see, then it's difficult to imagine anyone having an issue with it
About the filter, I noticed it doesn't kick anyone for saying "shit", but it's portuguese/spanish translation does deserve a kick

Moose......... if the truth has to be said

i can honestly say........

your an Animal

oh, wait that your username...... lol
Wierd, thats the only word I have for this "online persona" thing, trouble is, IRL it's easy to know what people think of you, tone of voice, body language etc etc, it's not that simple with forums etc.
It's actually pretty difficult to gauge just what the "community" at large think of you, not that I give a flying fig what anyone thinks
But I generally don't have much of a problem with anyone, and have never seen anything other than decency from Mr Moose

IRL I get cheesed off pretty quickly with people if I don't like their attitudes, tbh I'd probably have a lot more friends if I didn't. Fact is I just wont go near or engage in conversation with a person whom I see to ignorant/big ego ect. The problem here is, as you all know I spend quite a lot of time here and I can't point to any post in particular to back up what I said above as it was a statement based on tit-for tat comments here and there. Moose, obviously I'm the one who looks like the tit here and I know you don't agree(neiter does anyone), as I said, I just get pissed off too easily with nitty little comments. Looking at my comment again it does make you look a lot worse than is true, so, at this point I have to appoligise and I take bake what I said above as it's not entirley true.
Quote from CSU1 : I have to appoligise and I take bake what I said above as it's not entirley true.

Apologies accepted. Lets just forget this nonsense.

Whilst i thought you were being a little harsh in what you said, it has made me think a little more about what I'm going to say in reply to posts.

I'm not going to change, i am what i am (cue for a song ) but I'll try and be a little less abrasive at times. I never set out to offend anyone.

I admit i have to take into consideration that some people just aren't as thick skinned as i am.

Lets move on then
Quote from Gil07 :About the filter, I noticed it doesn't kick anyone for saying "shit", but it's portuguese/spanish translation does deserve a kick

Why?
Thats kinda what he asked.

Weird. I don't see a question on his post.

"about the filter..." its kind of like equiring about something, like its very subtle but it is there.
Quote from richy :"about the filter..." its kind of like equiring about something, like its very subtle but it is there.

Right. I might have misunderstood because of the "deserves a kick" phrase.
