Let engineers work out ramp angles and launch velocities required - 20 minutes
Let builders/engineers make launch and landing ramp - a few days.
Drive rally car at specified speed up ramp - wait - get out, and pretend it took skill/courage.

I got to hand it to him, his statement regarding this accomplishment was great: "I wasn't that nervous, because if I get too nervous it would suck."

Impressive in a Hollywoodish/Discovery Channel sort of way.

On hindsight, they should make an amusement park ride out of that.

Didn't actually look all that impressive.

I think the actual jumps they do on the stages look cooler, just look at the yumps in the Scandanavian rallies They don't go as high but they're going a heck of a lot faster than he was for that stunt.

For me, it was the still shot of Scooby flying WAY over the blokes head. I don't care, I like it anyway...

I've seen this guy on Discovery Channel. The Impreza's suspension had been killed, cause I saw little things flying out of the suspension.
So the arrival was a bit...brutal

This was a Reliant Robin (AFAIK) and it worked very good. It really looked like a Space Shuttle starting and I couldn´t believe that it did not explode while sitting on the ground. But the Landing was not so nice because the Remote Control did not work as expected

nah, this is a different one. They strapped a rocket onto a mini and ****ed it off a ramp.
