Yes but when you check it on RAC it goes through the dvla database it is a original cossie but it has a built engine hense why the engine in the car is chrome.

When it says the engine is a 1993 that doesn't mean that it was made in 1993 its the size of the engine basically its a 2Litre

It's not hard to find an ugly ricer.
Quote from sam93 :engine building for a nice tidy price from about £3,500 lol

Bring an engine to us, and we'll rebuild it (as standard, without blue-printing) for about £6k, assuming it's in reasonably nick too.

Race prep is probably another 3 - 6k on top.
I dont know if that is the price i just know that was a price of someone getting some tuning done to his engine i think it was for fitting a turbo and something else i will get a price quote off of him and ill post how much he would charge for a total engine rebuild for either a impreze or rs500 cossie.

Luckily I prefer these box shaped Volvo cars, can get new used engine for 50e, rebuilding engine if I do all work except machining is around 500e, doing it properly around 1000e and that is practically new engine then.

Parts are cheap as soup, everything is simple and there is no need for special tools necessarily

Of course, get proper race engine and you are looking 20k-30k figures, but that is then over 100hp/litre from NA engine and it is not going to fail from track use.
One thing I have noticed- You cannot find a high school parking lot in the US (or Oklahoma at least) without at least 3 or 4 ricers parked there.

(Lemme guess: it's a funeral car for ricers who overestimated their driving skills.)

hahahah Cmon, Lada's tuned, i think its cool, just purely, because Lada's are LIKED by some people.

It is actually drinking car for some guys, they have had stupidly loud audio system at back and they have quite often being stopped by police from causing disturbing noise
