Anyone else watching it?

I just managed to catch the last 5 minutes of the France vs Argentina match and it looked liked a good match. Although from the comments made France played liked noobs and to loose to Argentina is just shocking. AFAIK the host team has only ever lost once before.

France loosing though throws open the group as before hand it was assumed France and Ireland would go through, but now Argentina have a chance.

Whats more, 3 more matches tomorrow England vz USA could be interesting, although even as rubbish as seem to be playing recently we should still win.

The only news about the Ragby World Cup in Estonian news was the part when Tonga´s team went to a pub and ate it empty.

(Rugby isn´t really popular here.)

I rather watch the Basketball European Championship.

Which game have you said they will win? They France played, Ireland should beat them but if Argentina carry on playing as well as they did could be a problem.

So sick of the rugby world cup. In fact i was sick of it about 3 months ago. Its all that is ever talked about on the news over here.

For us it is the other way round, football gets the attention so rugby world cup and six nations is really the only time it gets any attention.

France has just given Argentina the ball maybe 30 times during the whole match. What a shame...

BTW there is actually South Africa vs Samoa and it a great match

I don't think it's really worth watching until the finals, when the games are a little more evenly matched. But then it'll likely be all the same games we've been seeing in the trinations.

The South Africa v Samoa game was interesting for the first half; some interesting plays on Samoa's part but some very questionable umpiring too. I think Samoa's second try not being payed pretty much broke their spirit and from then on it wasn't worth watching.

Watch the first twenty minutes, then read the score later and check youtube for the highlights for now. The finals will be more interesting.

i agree but its fun to watch all matchs with friends... + some nice ice cold drinks socialising FTW

Yeah the rugby world cup has started off nicely. Both Australia and New Zealand abusing the opponents and ending with a final score that looks like ot would be more suited to a cricket match.

South Africa's performance against Samoa was not that bad. Worked well together but far to many mistakes and slow passing. I just wished Samoa had kept up there aggressive take on the game the whole way through and not just the first 10 minutes as they were obviously flustering the boks.

My prediction is a New Zealand/Australia final. Dont think England have what it takes this time. But I may be wrong, they might come round in the end. I see New Zealand taking it as they might not of been playing the hardest team in the last match, but everything was just perfectly executed.

We will see if the favourites take the cup...go NZ!

Ireland have a great side.. i agree england aren't playing great but i think most teams are over rated ( mainly argantina ) but meh id love a shock finally ( like Italy winning for once :P )

I'm pissed that France lost to Argentina.
Ireland better make it to final too.

Well, I'm obviously rooting for Scotland!

I will be very disappointed if they don't make it out of the group stages! We SHOULD come 2nd in our group as long as we beat Italy, which will be tough I will be very proud if we manage to run New Zealand close, it should be a very good challenging match for us!

Either way I hope we really get to the quarters, and if we get any further then that is a bonus!

Only bad deal for me is the coverage! Americans don't watch much rugger! They are showing a select few games on Versus for the group stages, but they are all delayed I think and are sometimes days after! So I will know the results long before I get a chance to see the games! I just hope the coverage improves for the final stages!

Yep, thankfully my sister gets VS in her apartments whereas I don't in the dorms, we watched France vs Argentina on Sunday, I don't know when that took place, but thats what the delay is.

But hey, at least we are getting some of it.

HAHA we did indeed, I can't recall if we played them in 1999 but I don't think we did which means out of the last 4 world cups, we have played and beaten AUS 3 times

Also france beating NZ was a shocker, NZ were the favorites. Oh well facing France next, should be a good game.

That was the most nail chewing game i have seen england play since they played australia in the 2003 world cup, if they keep up that form we've got a chance! I know all our points came from Wilko but still he was only kicking @ about 50% so the score line should of been 24 - 10 not 12 - 10.

So glad we lost! Everyone here is crying its quite pathetic really. Probably give it a few weeks before i start watching the news again though!

Predictions for Englands Semi final match with France anyone?

I think we will either win by a small margin or get beaten very badly by loads but I think we will win just about, we have the edge from improving so much that I think we will take the win Bloody hope so anyway.

I think well get the win, England are playing as a team again now and France have got a reputation for taking out a big team (New Zealand) and then getting their arses kicked in the next game. I might pop down the bookies and put a small wager on it actually.
