If you are clever you should know how to do it, and how do you know if there are not adults here helping you out who are a lot clever then most of us on here.

Sam.

You don't need a video, you need to read what you have been told several times in this thread and Jakg even provided pics. It's so simple a monkey with brain damage could do it.

That school your going to isn't doing a very good job.
Get a grip and for once listen to what people tell you.

I'm starting to think that you are winding us all up deliberately.
Maybe we're the suckers here?

"cleverer".
Damn dude we've already made it as easy as we can for you. We gave you pictures, we had numerous people give different explanations (all of which would work) yet you still don't get it. If you cannot apply a little tube of silver substance to a flat surface, at the age of?... then you seriously should re-consider your weekend hobbies. How you managed to waste an ENTIRE can of compressed air is beyond me, I have a 10oz can of the stuff right beside me and its lasted months, and I use it regularly on my printer, my stereo, and my DSL modem (cat likes to wander around the computer desk) You probably screwed something up by spraying the COLD and WET LIQUID co2 onto your computer. Just give up, seriously. Take whats left of your laptop to the local computer store, get them to repair it, lock the BIOS for you, and let you carry on with your life. Sorry if this sounds harsh, but I find it unreal how somebody can be so stupid and thick-headed.

Why!?

You've been told and shown how to!

Do you need instructions on how to move your arm and how to squeeze the tube?

Both work.
Anybody else feel their brain cells slowly float away whilst having this thread open?...

To be honest, this thread is rather ammusing and educational for other people wanting to do similar things.

Harjun, both methods work fine. Just put a dot on and leave it, rather than probably ruin a credit card.

ok, but can i just try to spread it? and if it doesnt work i will just rub it of?

Why do you want to if it works anyway? You could spread it, but I'm just telling you that due to your record of doing things properly, I suggest doing it the most simple way possible.

ok, so i just put a dot half a bb size...and place the heatsink nicely on top?
Yup, just put a small blob, half the size of a bb pellet in the centre of the die, and then put the heatsink back on, screw it all up and then leave it now that it works.
Yes, said a million times. Just make sure the heatsink is on firm and tight, and that the clips are properly engaged...

which clips? there are only screws on mine

like picture 2 or picture 3, i know you have told me to do it like picture 2, but i'm not certain it will spread the whole way?

Some desktop's use clips, some use screws.

so...please can someone answer question?/
Just make sure the damn heatsink is attached firmly to the die. If it uses clips, clip it. If it uses screws, use them.

Would you like a video tutorial on how to use a screwdriver?!

Jeez...

Your not certain? Okay then. If you know better then just pour the paste out all over and slam the heatsink down.

One dot, is fine. Honestly, trust us for once.
Harjun are you really fourteen? Or is there a mistake in your profile? And by the way that was a serious questions...
A little more on topic, once you boot up the laptop check out the temps at LOAD and see if the laptop is overheating still...
~Bryan~
ok i will trust you all!
