Finally the long awaited ( and dreaded) day arrived! A textbook birth (2,5 hours) and a perfect little creature that grabbed my finger and looked at me as soon as he was born!

Just had to get it out!

Congratulations atledreier! So glad to hear that mother and child are doing well. My wife and I are expecting our first in a few weeks and we're in that stage where we're feeling a strange mix of excitement, apprehension, euphoria, anticipation and fear.

I know, BuddhaBing! Even though this is our third child, we still get that. Don't worry, as soon as you hear that little thing cry the first time, it was all worth it!
It's like.. you MADE that thing! That's worth more than all the WRs in the world!

He was 4490g, that's about 10lbs, and 52cm long. So quite a stocky fellow..
