i think that it would be a good idea if we could go on the http://www.lfs.net/ site and download a package that allows you to upload a song on the program and it will install into the game so you could listen to your own tunes i thourght that i would be a good idea because the lfs songs arent that good and besides there are only 2 songs to choose from so it would be good to listen to your own

Any 3rd party app that converts MP3/WMA to OGG will do the job, you then place the .OGG files in the relevant folder in your LFS directory (which one exactly escapes me at the moment).

I just have Foobar running in the background, and have global hotkeys set up for volume and next track.

Besides that, you can go to http://www.lfs.net/?page=addons and download "A music addon pack consisting of 17 songs that you can add to your LFS S2."

Why not just having your standard media player in the background?

Some people havent got the CPU power to run WMP and LFS. I do but the moment it changes song LFS freezes, and when it unfreezes I'm either upside down or I have been kicked for crashing

I'm not sure what the attraction is with "in-game" music. Surely it's a hell of a lot easier to listen to your tunes with a player than have to buggerise around converting or pasting playlists or whatever That's not a rant btw, I'd just like to know why it's so important when there are so many other ways to play and listen to music simultaneously in the 21st century.

I know WMP is a cumbersome POS too, but there's really no reason on Earth to use it (and I haven't for years), considering the amount of free players out there that completely kick its arse. Failing that - CDs, people. Physical media's retro though, I understand

but there can be problems...i had them.
converted quite a few songs from mp3 to ogg and the outcome was that the half of the songs were playing slower than normal for no reason.
ive never found out why.

LFS under Linux is not better (Winamp for Linux is very hard to find )
