L.A. Rush
alright, i know a few of you know i've been a fan of all the Rush's back from San Francisco Rush, to the newest LA Rush, as for me, i think they've taken a turn.. kinda like what EA Games did for need for speed underground.. took a serious turnabout with the new rush, with new cars (nice damage aye? its like what everyone has wanted, real damage.. on yes.. real cars , definetly one of the few) anyways, with over 50 real cars and roughly 20 concept cars, i was wondering what all you other Rush fans thought of it, i got it and NFSU2 today for 50$ at best buy (got a gift certificate so i figured well.. nothing else thats cheap enough thats really worth it, and i liked messing around when sisters' boyfriend had NFSU2)

story .. well, lets just say its similar to that of NFSMW, start up as a big timer, owner of all the land, you make a mistake and call someone down.. it comes back to haunt you, and he takes everything but your first car that lead you up to the top from the beginning, a 240sx.. lets just say... its not the hottest ride on the streets

races.. kinda strange imo, so far im only about 14% complete in one day (not the whole day of course) so far it has circuit races, lap knock outs, and what i call 'take the new ride home' (where you get a car back and have to drive it back to your home with a bunch of cops and people that work for Lidell [the guy that stole all your cars])

cops.. not quite like NFSMW, these guys.. you cant take them out to easily, you get 5 stars, kinda similar to that of Vice City, you can loose stars by going around in small alleys and loosing the cops behind you, but trust me, when your in races and they chase after you.. they will do ANYTHING to get in your way, (no joke.. i was doing an endurance race [wasnt ready for.. least i got 3rd to make up for my entrance price... 10k eek!] and several times cops ramped off the highway to get in my way) many come after you.. a bunch, weave through traffic to get rid of them.. they'll do some damage to the cars on the road if you weave 2 fast 2 furious style (just ... try not to land up like the guy in that saleen mustang, although you can go under semis if you have a low enough car.. its still dangerous.. oh, btw, when you get something a little to high.. try not to tip the truck )

alot to read, but its pretty much a summary of the game so far, i was just wondering if anyone has gotten it and if they like it or not

oh last few things.. customization.. no this is no NFS modding here.. presets is what they are, pay some cash and west coast customs will 'pimp your ride'.. not always for the best

anyways, heres hte list of the cars i've unlocked so far
Nissan 240sx
Chevy Impala SS (2000)
Nissan Frontier
Nissan Titan
'66 GTO
Camaro 427 SS (nice ride)
Dodge Super bee special (also known as the "rumble bee")
and some concept thing thats.. kinda ugly but fast
got the game, hate the phys as in all the nfs games... but played it cause it was new and stylish, and fancy, and ******.
Anyway i missed the fine tuning from underground and the miata (sniff).
i HATE the cops cause for their obstruction abillities in large groups.
the first gear for always spinning it up too hell.
and the difficulty, tried to make all the 63 challenges.
had to cheat hardly to get past the 40 (imo this isn't achievable without massive NOSsing).

anyway had stopped playing Most wanted cause it's "back to the Need for Speed roots" and got not su much to do with the underground parts i liked for tuning possibillities...
...? im talking about LA Rush lol not most wanted

oh i also forgot to mention the 500+ miles of road there is to travel, and everything you see is destructable (besides buildings of course)
hrm.... sorry

Most Wanted is more like "Underground plus cops" and it has nothing to do with the original NFS series. This "back to the roots" talk is bullshit.
To me, the old NFS series are long gone... we will probably never have'm again. So many improvements to graphics leaves us with fancy lighting and uber-shiny cars. Especially with EA's new 'hip' vibe blended into the whole game.

The old NFS series with the real cars, car info with galleries, history, and videos... man that made for a nice game that really got me to love supercars. Even if the driving was arcadey, I didn't care, the game was fun at a young age. And now all the new series are probably even more fun considering there are more possibilities with making driving games more fun (*bling*bling* yah herrrrd!!!)
Is it for Xbox only?

Uhm, 5 seconds on google. PC-CD Rom

*EDIT*

But I'm not sure it's out for PC yet? Anyone?
no just xbox and ps2

no one has it? only 30$ lol .. cheap for a new game

edit, looking at the reviews and PSM is ... definetly right
"L.A. Rush is reinventing the series on a massive scale."
yes they are.. and its definetly not like NFS Hot Pursuit to NFSU.. i dont think any game has ever made this much of a turn.. pure concept car game.. to real cars.. finally got damage back into the game.. even the game has lost its most known button.. "Abort" .. no more abort anymore, imo i think its turned for the worse.. however, i guess i will have to follow its progress and see where it goes

first of all, thx for your polite answer...

awright sir, then how come i can't change the front bumper for example.
instead i get a whole bodykit... "hey thx a lot mr. dealer but i just wanted the bumper..."

more like? hm... agree but one driving mode is missing, like drifting.
and u can't deny the fact that this game is more mainstreamed (in the choice of body and car parts) than underground one or two.

off topic: what is a "twat" i'm german as you might seen and therefore don't know slang.
......enough of NFS, this thread is about LA Rush!
