:jawdrop: Really ! Have to admit that surprised me.

I dont think Rossi's lost any of his talent, maybe his hunger has diminished a little (he's certainly no fan of traction control, finds it boring), maybe the Tax problem's he's been having this year have distracted him. It's hard to say.

But to my eye he's still the best in the world by some margin and will be for at least another 3 or 4 years, How old is he now, 29 ? yeah he's got plenty left in him, unless he ends up in clink for tax evasion !
Personally, I hope that MotoGP returns to it's full cream flavour, rather than the nuetered version we have had this year.

Yesterday I watch MotoGP, then BSB, and the difference it astounding, I know they are completely different beasts, but that (BSB/WSB) is the style of racing I enjoy watching, backing it in, high sides etc etc, I know it's dangerous (having suffered a high side out of Russell at Snettie myself, didn't fall though ) but it's just more exciting to watch.
Most of the riders (except Casey) have said the new regulations have made the bikes play a much bigger role than previously. When I see Valentino Rossi finishing outside the top 3 then something is wrong. Other riders have made comments about how hard Rossi works on that Yamaha, but with traction control and smaller engines his talent is having less of an effect. Remember this is a guy who jumped straight onto the 500s and came close to winning in his first season on them.

Hopefully they will just ban TC and get a single tyre manufacturer in. The other teams have caught up to Ducati, by next season they should be more equal.

Oh and to say Rossi is past is best is just ever so slightly mental. What is true is that his luck has run out, and being on the worst bike is starting to take its toll. Any race Rossi has had the machinery underneath him, he has won, the same cannot be said for Stoner. I do prefer Stoner to Hayden though.
i aggre with quicksilver there hope they get rid of this F1 style TC and get back to driver ability if not why not just get radio controled cars/bikes out there :P

i have a 2000 BSB program from the mallory meeting and it shows many class riders in 125cc including casey, haslam and camier but where are haslam and camier in moto gp? i like stoner but would he of got the moto gp ride if it wasnt for the british series?
haslam must be the most experienced rider out there as he has ridden every type of bike and all he got was a half hearted team effort from shell advance which collasped midseason. wish our brits could get a decent moto gp bike for once
I agree too with Quicksilver, traction control is at is best/worst now.
Just look at how they give gas in onboard cam it's scary!
Hoping to be in Vallelunga for the Superbike race, meanwhile i found this on youtube... ahh sweet memories

"we had huge admiration for Rossi, we had tried to sign him, but we didn't manage to". ROFL that made me laugh for a good 10 mins .

I wish all this "italian on an italian bike" and a "Spanish rider coz the sponsor is spanish" bollocks needs to stop, its not a world cup

shame thats not the case in F1 coz i think 75% (figures not correct coz i hate F1 ) of F1 teams are based in england

If you read Rossi book that happened for real, but Valentino didnt agreed on the tecnical part (No control on developement). But that is what Valentino said. Maybe he was just asking too much money

I know its just this italian on an italian bike bit even tho they treated capirex like they did, which made him just want to win to get back at ducati, and they even tried to keep capirex for next season but he would rarther go away from the best bike in moto gp. just feel how stoner feels after winning the 1st title for the duke and they still want rossi.

DOH i forgot about melandri signing for them MY BAD ok maybe my rant is not on point (ignore me )
Then my bad as i didnt understand you! Well that's the problem with Ducati, they always want to stick with "tradition". Tecnically speaking the 2 cylinders for example (why 1200 2cyl and 1000 4cyl? If you do a 2 cyl that's your problem dont ask for more displacement!), pilot speaking i agree that having Rossi is a huge advantage but this year they demonstrate that thay dont need that. And how they treated poor Capirex is a shame, after all the time in past years in wich was Ducati and Bridgestone that didnt go fast and he always drived very well.
Instead of helping him and giving another year to show that was a bad season they fired him! If Stoner had a good bike that was because Capirex developed the bike during all this years! Makes me remember of how they treated Bayliss... but good Troy showed them he wasnt a finished pilot... and i bet Capirex will do good also in Suzuki.
But yes you are right about this italian bike and italian pilot thingy, how they manage to keep the embarassing Lorenzo Lanzi for all the year (hiring a guy in the official team after only 2 good race is more than trusting him)... but hey next year will come Micheal Fabrizio! Hope he will do something better! As his season in dfx wasnt all that good...
yes they treated bayliss the same and then he can back for that one off ride at the end of '06' and won was just another example of what capirex has done in the 2nd half of this season
lets hope melandri does well or he will be out ROFL
reguarding the lanzi deal if i was david tardozzi i would of got leon haslam in the replace lanzi as leon is the only one that has pushed kiyo in BSB this year and deserves a good WSBK ride.

And if you remember, he look seriously pissed off all weekend, even with the win.
I am pretty sure than Ducati were offering more money than Yamaha, but Rossi prefered Yamaha because they allowed him to bring his team with him. The day Rossi leaves motoGP will be a sad one, he brings a lot of fun into it...I can't see Stoner riding round with a man in a chicken suit on the back of his bike.
chicken suit ROFL
