A way to search past ebay auctions?
I'm looking for some kind of recently sold item search on ebay. This is so I can work out how much something (Nvidia 7800, 7900 and 7950 GTs to be precise) is likely to sell for when there are no auctions currently about to finish.

Does anybody know if it is possible to do a search like this?
I don't think that's possible, but bear in mind that prices on eBay tend to be a bit seasonal - things always shift cheaper this time of year because everyone's skint after their summer holidays and saving for christmas. It's a buyer's market at the moment (which is why I'm shopping for a new bass...)
Go to advanced search and you can search completed auctions up to 4 weeks I think.
Not sure you can Jimi, you can only search for available items.

Kev's got it right though, sometimes you pay top dollar for stuff, but at other times you can get the same item for peanuts. Last thing at night and first thing in the morning are the best times to buy, especially Sat and Sunday mornings.

Also try unusual listings ie vid card, graphics card, pc card etc, if you're prepared to look through hundreds of listings you can pick up a real gem. Trust me, i bought a DFP for £2.10 doing this.

Also give Fat Fingers a try, it's not so good for mainstream stuff, but it's always worth a look.
Ugghhh, damn my wonky eyes, never noticed that before

Sorry Jimi, i can be a real eejit at times
