hey all, when i go to start live 4 speed i open the file
then click on the icon to start the game it loads
for a second then a window pops up saying could not
find any suitable screen modes? any help?

make sure all needed files exist in the folders? idk i experienced something saying "could not find..." when i was playin around and exploring the folders lol

Do you have suitable graphics drivers installed (latest ones?)
Do you have the latest version of DirectX installed?

You've been licenced two months? I'm assuming it has been working up until now. You must have changed something to break LFS. What was it?

no i dont have the latest version of direct X ill go and intall it now

na still dose not work

I'd backup my skins, setups, custom textures etc, and download a clean copy of LFS. Propably easier and quicker than trying to find the problem itself...

reinstall ur GFX drivers.
i had this problem whenever my graphic drivers werent correctly installed.

Hey all, I have that same problem, I can´t open LFS.exe because there comes warning "Not suitable screen modes". I have uninstalled my LFS, DirectX, graphic card drivers. Then I installed new drivers for my graphic card (ati radeon 9600XT), and new DirectX (9.0c), And LFS patch X. Nothing changed, the game doesn´t work.. I cant understand anymore what can be wrong, because I have installed all again.

Have you tried to set the resolution manually?

Open cfg.txt and scroll to

Screen Info 0 60 1680 1050 (Your resolution has to be entered here).

Try your desktop resolution first.

0 stands for the graphic adapter
60 stands for frequency, take one that works for sure.
