Might wanna put this in off topic but it diffently deserves the right to be seen and since lfs is a simulation it belongs to all other simulation topics in certain cituations.

9:10am left for high school:
Im on varsity and we have practice we are still on break through to the 4th.

11:30am
Came home switched on the tube mother made me a turkey sandwhich.
News was already on, headline news live Airplane crashes.

It just so happened that an airplane crashed right outside my neighborhood right under my nose while driving there, same time not very far away in a field. Its been foggy for 2 days straight and gets incredibly bad at night. Still trying to find out what happened but I live right by a small private airport and it was not lined up with the runway but was pointing towards it. I didnt hear it, for my music was a tid bit loud, I need to get awake somehow right? Well all three people on board died and it was a small piper something.
This just shows how everday life can vear into something different happy or sad. I show my appreciation for both flying and driving, I one day wish to grow up and be a pilot. Just let this thread be seen for a day or so, I dont know all the information but I have a good friend and her dad owns a plane there, could quite possible be them

Cheers,
Infiniti
You shouldn't be so ignorant, maybe if you read it and made an intelligent reply I would'nt have to quote myself.

" Might wanna put this in off topic but it diffently deserves the right to be seen and since lfs is a simulation it belongs to all other simulation topics in certain cituations."
#3 - Vain
I think he want's people to remember that the real life thing, flying, racing, etc is dangerous.

I'm a pilot too and everytime you start you should remind yourself that you could die today. That is why usually pilots are so careful and that's why they don't fly when it's foggy.
Sorry to say, but the pilot is obviously in charge for the death of two persons. It's not the fog's fault, but the fault of the pilot, because he flew into the fog.

Vain
Well, he might be typing it to say "real life endeavours can be dangerous" as Vain suggests, but I read:

"Hey, a plane crashed near me, and I thought of a way of telling you without it seeming like I've glorified the accident".

I don't see what a plane crashing near your house has ANYTHING to do with LFS.

Also, if someone makes you feel the need to quote yourself, it might be worthwhile checking the accuracy of the english you use to do so. As it stands it makes little or no sense, and therefore you're bound to get posts like mine and Clownpaints creating conjecture on what you meant. Re-quoting double-dutch doesn't make it easier to understand.
Its in off-topic section...is it only LFS related stuff in off-topic..
Quote from Richard Torp :Its in off-topic section...is it only LFS related stuff in off-topic..

No, but then the first sentence doesn't make sense...

Oh, and the plane was a small Piper CUB... Hope nobody you knew was involved.
I think a mod put it here
Although I agree I'm kinda lost in the whole point of the thread Okay everyone understands it's a sad event but we can't understand the context your trying to put it into.

Agreed, thats why I moved it here. Tragic event, the world is filled with them.
Can't see the relevance of posting it on a racing sim forum, don't mean to be dispassionate.

I dunno, You could start a new thread, "Post Your Tragedies"
But I'd imagine there's a forum out there for just those kinds of posts.

Speaking of tradegies, I was just reading about this earlier today

Good job on moving the thread, but would you mind leaving a little note saying you moved it next time? Saves us all some confusion...
NP Tag, I like to keep you on your toes
Wait, so because I don't you proper english on a forum, oh wait hold on that one! Your from the United Kingdom, my english is different than yours. I'm not stupid but I could type obnoxiously bad, spelling just about everything wrong. You would still understand it, scientist have done studies were humans dont read every single letter. I'm in honors english, I don't need to be tought grammar, or spelling. Weather or not it made total sense after the off topic part, everyone understood, an airplane crashed, three people died, right by my house, and theres a lesson to be told about it. And now that there is more information on the incident, it's starting to really point fingers at the pilot, because he didn't follow standard procedures. Clownpaint I do not need your lessons, I didn't think it mattered to you so much to make yourself look higher than me by correcting me on everyday mistakes that others make aswell. Especially this day and age on the interent, were aim language dominates most teenagers.

Cheers,
Infiniti
Quote from Infiniti :Wait, so because I don't you proper english on a forum, oh wait hold on that one!

it's "use" not "you"

Quote from Infiniti : Your from the United Kingdom

it's "you're" not "your"

Quote from Infiniti :You would still understand it, scientist have done studies were humans dont read every single letter.

that should be two sentences, not one with a comma. it's "scientists" not "scientist", "where" not "were", and “don’t” not “dont”

Quote from Infiniti :I'm in honors english, I don't need to be tought grammar, or spelling.

it’s “taught” not “tought”. if that's an example of what is coming out of honors english in the USA then we're all in trouble.

Quote from Infiniti :Weather or not it made total sense after the off topic part, everyone understood, an airplane crashed, three people died, right by my house, and theres a lesson to be told about it.

it's "whether" not "weather", “there’s” not “theres”, and that's another sentence that should be broken up, not divided by commas.

Quote from Infiniti :And now that there is more information on the incident, it's starting to really point fingers at the pilot, because he didn't follow standard procedures.

no comma needed after "pilot"

Quote from Infiniti :Clownpaint I do not need your lessons,

yes, in fact you do.

Quote from Infiniti :Especially this day and age on the interent, were aim language dominates most teenagers.

”internet” not “interent” and "where" not "were"

Quote from Infiniti :Cheers,
Infiniti

you spelled your name correctly, congratulations.

i see you're from Nebraska................................no comment.

I don't see why you guys have such a need to bash him for spelling mistakes, to be honest I can't really see the big problem? illepall
Quote from Mikkel Petersen :I don't see why you guys have such a need to bash him for spelling mistakes, to be honest I can't really see the big problem? illepall

the only reason i posted is because he stated he's in honors english and doesn't need anyone to correct him.

Quote from Infiniti :theres a lesson to be told about it.

Lesson Option 1: Planes crash

Lesson Option 2: Ground is hard

Lesson Option 3: Don't let the first and second options meet

Lesson Option 4: It crashed near my house and therefore must be newsworthy

Lesson Option 5: Erm, struggling here...

Of course our condolencies go out to the families of those involved, but posting about random plane crashes on a sim racing forum, and then trying to tell us there are lessons to be learnt (but never actually telling us what lessons - I'm guessing not English grammer and spelling lessons) is just odd.

I think it's time for you to go back in the soft padded room for a few days.
Well I never really gave a rip about how I type on the internet. I'm trying to be nice about it Oh and me living in Nebraska doesn't have anything to do with it? I live there, and I'm in the largest city, there isn't a corn field insight... I haven't met a single redneck in my area of town either Sure I'm in honors english "I know how to spell and use grammar" does not mean I'll use it, your not proving a thing to me execept maybe I'm not taking my time to spell and your wasting your time correcting meillepall Oh well I careless I shouldn't waste my time explaining myself, but it's interesting to see how many other people will waste their time for me. Least your keeping me entertained, but I won't write a paper for you to correct and base me for...
I dont want to bash other countries but since you stereotyped me for just living in Nebraska, Canada to me is just a bunch of drunk hockey fans rioting whether they win or lose... Don't be such a stereo type...
Quote from Infiniti : Oh and me living in Nebraska doesn't have anything to do with it?

That is not a question.

Quote from Infiniti :I live there, and I'm in the largest city, there isn't a corn field insight...

No comma needed after "there". "Insight" in this context is two words.

Quote from Infiniti :Sure I'm in honors english "I know how to spell and use grammar" does not mean I'll use it, your not proving a thing to me execept maybe I'm not taking my time to spell and your wasting your time correcting meillepall

MEGA-RUN-ON-SENTENCE! "You're" not "your" (X2).

Quote from Infiniti :Oh well I careless I shouldn't waste my time explaining myself,

In this context "careless" is two words and should have a period after it.

Quote from Infiniti :Least your keeping me entertained, but I won't write a paper for you to correct and base me for...

"At least" and "you're" not "your"

Quote from Infiniti :I dont want to bash other countries but since you stereotyped me for just living in Nebraska, Canada to me is just a bunch of drunk hockey fans rioting whether they win or lose...

"Since" denotes a passage of time. You were looking for "because".

Quote from Infiniti :Don't be such a stereo type...

Are you calling me a drunken and rioting hockey fan or did you mean to tell me to not be someone who stereotypes other people? I think you were meaning to say "Don't be a stereotyper".

One more thing..........there's a new invention called the "paragraph", give it a try one day.
speedfreak227
Speedfreak - please don't get bored of doing this - it's really quite amusing.
Infiniti gets a English lesson from speedfreak227
Hmm let me try this :

No, I wasn't calling you a drunken and rioting hockey fan. I was comparing your stereotype with mine towards you. I didn't like you stereotyping me about living in Nebraska. There is nothing wrong with it, nor Canada in my opinion, but soon as you make it a problem then I will bring it up.
Am I suppose to be correcting my mistakes you point out? Because if I weren't, then why do I do so well in school? Guess you can't answer that yourself, but I'm on break. Why not give my brain a rest after frying it for finals?
One thing that I am learning is how careless I am typing on forums or internet. You know I don't care about spelling and grammar online hopefully by now. What you don't know is that I am a really good writer, just want you to know I'm not a complete idiot. Besides you're how old? Much older than I am I presume. You sound like my dad editing my own work. By the way he is a lawyer and part time teaches at Creighton Law School. So you're not doing anything new to me.

Edit: maybe the thread title should be: Infiniti's learning curve on English grammar and spelling. Then I can delete the news nobody cared about, and help people like myself learn how many people give a damn about the most lazily miss used language in the world.
I also cant get the page to indent for a new paragraph, help me out on this one!

ok, there were a few tiny little mistakes in that one, but you came across sounding VERY INTELLIGENT there. My appologies for being a bit of a prick to you. If you type like that all the time in the forums you will recieve a lot more respect and have people take you seriously much more often.

I really don't want to sound like a nag, but (assuming you're in highschool) at your age if you can start presenting yourself professionally it will do a lot to help you move up in the world.

Yes I am older. I'm 30 and an engineer. Nothing frustrates me more than having to read a poorly written report or an email with "internet abreviatons". I think you called it "aim language" but I don't know what that is.

USE YOUR OBVIOUS INTELLIGENCE TO GET YOUR POINT ACROSS! Don't pander to the lowest common denominator and use "aim language" to appeal to all the "internet english" junkies.

speedfreak227
Will do, my friend always corrects me on and offline in the real world. It was not that mean to do to me. It amused me, and made me think today. Now I must relax, party, and have some fun. Oh A.I.M. Language is used on AOL(America Online) Instant Messenger. It is a free instant messaging program much like MSN. All my friends use it to communicate for arranging things to do, or just to have a chat.

Cheers
Infiniti
stereotypes are the greatest form of comedy in the world.

all englishmen have screwed teeth, drink tea and say 'cheerio'

all americans are fat

all italians are flamboyant fatties that are either pizzia chefs, or mobsters

all africans live in huts and own a golf club like assembly of spears

all jappanese people take pictures of everything and have every single technological advancment known to man....in their pocket in a easy to carry bundle.

see, stereotypes are just jokes in my opinion, lol

i could go on and on about these, blondes, gays, jewish, german, french etc.
i too hate net talk and text talk, all the l8r's and u r a tw@ and all that, very anoying

me...well im just a bad speller, but i do try
