Common sense rules in the main but it does make sense to put something down in writing for those with a propensity for numptyisms.

1. Before entering the pit box stay in the access lane furthest away from the garages - entering the pit box at the last moment.

2. Do not leave your pit box if it is not clear to do so.

3. Return to the access lane as mentioned in point 1 as soon as practical.

Also, it might be useful to use the pit box at the end of the pit lane as people might pit after you and you don't want them to block your way out when you finished your stop...

Boy, we really need assigned pitboxes in LFS......

One thing to note, like bbman stated, it is wise to travel pitroad and pit in the farthest box so that others pitting behind you won't block you from exiting. Problem with this is on public servers, where the first garages are where normally the midjoiners blast out of without any respect to the fact that there may be someone pitting right there that is actually involved in the race.
