This is my first post, btw, so hi. . Anyways, I've been lurking in these forums for 2 years now (sad, isn't it? I just don't have the money!) and I get annoyed by the way most demo users act on these forums. I see the same thing with some drifters, It's rather annoying to have the stereotypical Demo user around. I see the same stereotypes about Drifters, as well. The demo users that can actually speak with half a sense of grammar in the demo, never say anything on the forums. I've only seen a few. It is pretty sad that when S2ers come into my Demo servers, they expect me to have an IQ of 11 and a vocabulary consisting of "n00b" and the "battle me lawlz". Anyways, my rant is over. I hope I don't get flamed.

That`s quite true... Only few of the smartest demoracers/drifters hang around at the forums. I`ve met a LOT of kind people at the servers, which really have a look at their mirrors after they`ve spinned or something. But most of us just drive there like they owned the damn road!

Pisses me off! Will do (almost) anything for a S2 license.

( Looking for a evening job at the moment =P )

To be fair when I was playing demo version there were heaps of people willing to help me out with setups and questions etc.

There are always going to be annoying people though, whether it be demo or S1/S2.

when i was on demo licence, i had good help and advice from some guys from another forum (art-555,benjimc and line r32 big thanks guys :nod. so it was a bit easier for me,

it was always my intention to get my S2 asap, took about 2 months although i dont understand staying on demo for years or moaning about £24(uk). its the besy money ive prob ever spent

it can be a massive jump for some guys tho who have been playing arcade racers on consoles for year to then come here but then good manners and a bit of common scence,watch,learn,listen and ask nicely, but not mid race it will make a huge diff.

ive found that there are loads of people out there willing to help, and only a very small minority who dont, you just need to ask at the right time and politely

ps just wait you think demo users get it bad just wait till your a noob on S2.....only joking. same advice as above/

But yes, as Android said, as long as you are respectful, post maturely, and are kind you won't ever have a problem. Only problem I ran into was people catching on about my S2 license (which is valid, very few people keep their demo forum account while using S2)

Urban legend? Myth? What you're describing very simply does not land in the reported posts box at all. And I do mean at all. And there's nothing special about the moderators that anyone would benefit from kissing up to either. Your post is ill-informed and ill-advised and it does nothing but try to spark a controversy over a problem that simply doesn't exist. Divisive talk like this benefits nobody.

Why does anyone care what another person does on LFS, as long as it doesn't ruin their race or something? I couldn't care less if someone is drifting off in a complete different server than me. Why have the whole "drift vs race" war nonsense? rofl. They are completely different things, and who cares what one person likes and another does? In the rare cases it affects you in some way, I see someone come on the forum and say "LAWL OMG THAT GUY RAMMEDZ ME WHILE I WAS RACIN11!!!11oneeleven". Well, maybe not with that exact wording, but thats basically whats always being said. Its rather annoying, tbh.

Exactly. I see no reason to discuss demoers, drifters, cruisers, racers, whatever, as long as they make legitimate use of LFS.

And most of the answers I cared to give on the tech assistance forum are aimed at demo users. I guess that the general bad feeling some demo users have shouldn't apply to me, but I think that kind of feeling is overall wrong and misplaced. If demoers handled that perceived abuse on a per-user basis and not on a per-status basis the situation couldn't be reconducted to demo users having troubles with licensed users, it would be some demo users having trouble with some licensed users.

Nice big letters (and the screenies are explanatory too, although they shouldn't in all fairness be posted here). Am I the only one annoyed by such things?
