Best races against AI
Hi all

Anyone have a suggestion to which is the best races against AI, where they dont waste their tyres in a few laps.

which car must we race, which track, and at least fo 25 laps.
If you want to race the AI (god knows why :razz I'd suggest the road cars on S1 tracks, as the AI hasn't yet been properly updated for S2 cars/tracks and current tyre physics/ aero (that is one thing Scawen is currently doing )

Don't know if you can use the voluntary panelty air restrictor in single player but that would be a good way to balance yourself against the AI also.
Somehow the AI hasN't such great difficulties at the "old" S1 tracks (Blackwood, Southcity, FernBay) than at the S2 tracks.
At the newer ones they drive one lap at full speed and then slow down and race with half speed. LOL

Race with TBO or slower. I drove FZR at FernBay Black. Was quite good but they spun in the gras sometimes.

Don't race XFR or UFR in Southcity. They always crash in the wall because of understeering (under power).

I am looking forward to the AI improvements in the next patch.
Don`t race with the AI before the new patch comes out
Then the AI will be much smarter and better.
In my experience, currently my track of choice and oponent of choice is the FXR, at the Oval, running full grid races over 10 plus laps. Reverse finish order restarts, With a decent set, the AI will draft, and they will also bump.

OK there are wrecks, like most oval racing, and they do touch and bump a fair bit, both each other and the walls, but with safe passing on your part, they are fairly competative. Not as competative as any human tho.

Its about as good as it gets at this stage of development for me.
I have set up some fun-ish AI races.

Use a smaller layout like Aston club or fern bay club, then put in many different cars, eg

3 UF1
2 XRT
2 FXO
2 FZ5
1 FXR
1 XRR
1 FZR

and then use a GTR class car yourself. If you are much too fast for them, use intake restriction up to 40%.

The reason for this is that after a few laps, the field gets very spread out and you begin to encounter cars to pass at almost every corner. It makes great practice because you get to use a lot of unusual lines as you drive around slower cars who are passing even slower cars.

The bad part is that a fast AI car will sometimes get 'stuck' behind a slower car and just ride the brake instead of trying to pass.
I usually do this one:

Track: Westhill
Cars: XRT, XFO, RB4
Grill Position: Last
Total Cars: 20

With a trained AI is awesome.

Ok, I made a mistake

That sounds like a good idea IMO. More people need to learn to pass correctly...this might help.
Something like this maybe?
