The only game I have by them is Le Mans, which I rememeber being a real let down but haven't touched in years, will have to re-install and get a fresh opinion.

I ask as I've just got an interview with them tomorrow morning so I'm trying to do some company research. So if you have any (reasoned) opinions, please share!

Just FYI really, the traffic on the A1 will be an absolute 'mare near the MetroCentre, so alow plenty of time to get there.

I'm not going along the A1 but thanks anyway. You see that requires a car, which requires funds, which requires a job. I'll be getting the number 100 bus from town and walking the rest.

I've not seen her (having the same Firefox issue as Bob here at work) but if you had a woman on your team and you were trying to get geeks (let's be honest - 95% males) interested wouldn't you pimp her for all she's worth?

Bob which lemans is it? cos theres two different ones >.<

And have you put the 'compatibility mode' to windows 95/98, that worked for me :P

And if its the first version, every track runs except lemans itself :/ and you can go around the track without touching the brake

Just got back after a 3 hour interview, some very interesting discussions were had. I've still not driven one of their products, although they're not intending to produce hardcore race sims (they need sales after all) and consoles seem to be a large proportion of their market. I should be able to improve the handling if I get the job, since the position was for a vehicle physics programmer. I almost had an argument with the guy over what a slip angle curve should look like but thought it best not to at this stage. It seems they are another proprietor of the big falloff after peak theory.

Well, now I wait.

is it the port of le mans that was on dreamcast?

Thanks. Apparentally I'm going head to head with some other dude who's better at C++, but doesn't quite have the passion for racing/race sims and vehicle physics I do. That's my edge and fingers crossed it will be enough to swing things my way. I couldn't really think of a more suited role although it's a bit daunting getting chucked in at the deep end. On a more positive note, a couple of the guys there are licenced LFS players. I probably shouldn't mention that they've played LFS on LAN in the office in the past. Must be a perk for Scawen.

And having now played the PGR4 demo as well as Forza 2 on 360, I have to say go with the Forza system - the physics in PGR4 are horribly "one extreme to the other"

And of course we'll want secret pre-alpha info on anything you're working on
