20.00 UK time - otherwise you'll miss qualifying and be late

seriously thuo - sub 1 min 20 sec
k thanks
You are capable of getting around that time James. Your driving has certainly improved quite a bit lately and I expect you to do pretty well in the league. Just make sure you show up for all the events and practise the tracks beforehand. Don't make any silly mistakes and you're good to go. This applies to everyone I suppose
OMG 1.20 at FE green rev ?? Yeah i saw the merc guys doing that the other night but i was 3 seconds off pace at least. I have watch them doing a few laps but ern........ i need some practise on that track.

Damn those merc guys are fast.
thanks tony

Erm, i've only done a few laps and i've already got a 1:19 - it's not that hard, you just need to get used to the limit of the cars.

EDIT - I've done just 24 laps, and set a 1:19.74 - seeing as for the STCC i usually get 500 laps of practice in, i think most of you will break into the 1:1x.xx's
yeah but i know that at a 1 20 mi in the ballpark
Oke so it isnt the bottom yet. I mean if you reached so quickly the 1.19 it should go to 1.18 lows i gues.

Damn im in for a lot practise.

JakG done 24 laps and 13 rolls...........

To be honest 1.19's are your limits.

I would also imagine that the guys doing 1.19's are also cutting certain sections as well.

We will be thinking about how to deal with it before the season starts, purely because most time can be won/lost if you cut/don't cut 2 sections of the course..

Care to englighten me on what's cutting and what isn't?
Quote from Jakg :Care to englighten me on what's cutting and what isn't?

Its exactly the same for all on-road racing, 2 wheels on the track/curbing is legal, all 4 off the track then its cutting if you clearly use it to gain from it. Theres a couple of places where its possible to end up with all 4 on the grass and not benefit from it, and i think that would be considered acceptable because your intention isnt to do that, so provided its a rare occurance i'd imagine its perfectly acceptable, its intentional actions which should be punished and to a slightly lesser extent accidental cutting if you cut and carry on as if nothing happened and dont attempt to eliminate any advantage gained.
See Jason Plato for example, the cheating mofo gained 1sec by completely ignoring a chicane and then had the cheak to moan about Matt Neals actions, forgetting to point out he wouldnt have been close enough to overtake had he not cheated, and wouldnt have got past him had he not conveniently shunted him off the track.

Thats is exactly right Paul

The other night when we were 'practicing' several cars where getting their quickest times done with the 4 wheel cut at turn 1, which can make all the difference to the lap time.

This WILL be a problem for qualifying, here last year in the Div 2 meeting we had several cutters, one person doing 7 out of their 8 laps illegally by the 4 wheel cut at this section.

Not sure what we will do about it to be honest yet.

I'm thinking about the options and will report back, needlese to say any design changes will be well documented prior to the season start.
