Anyone got first-hand info on this one? Seems like the deal of the century from what I can see. Fast, cheap, unlimited, almost too good to be true

another forum i go on has given this amazing reviews. Indeed, im seriously thinking about going onto them myself. from everything ive read anywhere they are absolutely amazing. only got put into my exchange last month.
I suppose that might eventually become its downfall when it gets swamped
From what I've heard so far they're pretty good. It's still a fairly new company though, so I'd be worried about them maybe biting off more than they can chew.

Here's the Be Unlimited section of ThinkBroadband (Ex-ADSLGuide), worth a read as it will be full of posts from Be Users.

It's worth remembering that ADSL2+ 'up to 24mb' lines are dependant on the quality and length of your line.

There's a checker at DSLZone that will give some idea of what speeds you can expect to get, it has been pretty accurate for everyone I know who is on an ADSL2+ line, although most are with Sky.

For me, my attenuation means that I will probably only see about a 6meg line, so no real improvement over what I am getting now on an 'up to 8' ADSL MAX connection.
The speed isn't really an issue I think, it will probably be the same with almost any ISP that uses BT lines. I got almost the full 8meg in a place 200m from my current place of residence, can't check the speed because the BT line isn't active yet, but will do it anyways when I can.

From another team member (Dave) he bloody loves them - they've just had another price drop, he's syncing at 24 MBIT and 2 MBIT upload, unlimited, for £24 a month.

Why can't we get that here?!
Yes I have Be Broadband, get about 16mbps down, 1mbps up generally. Not too sure how far I am from the exchange but the speeds are about what I expected. (I'm about 2 miles from Southampton city center).

Pretty happy with them so far, no real issues. The router does seem to get a bit bogged down if you download at full speed with it though.

Price for Be unlimited has just been dropped to £18/month which is what we have, we havn't had any usuage restriction yet and have downloaded approx 80GB in about 3 weeks since we've had it.
Ah, great to hear from someone else in Soton. After my crappy experience with Virgin and Bulldog's slow speeds, I'm up for a quick & working intarwebs connection.
Yer definately go for it, it's the best ISP/speeds/package we could find so couldn't say no really, and at that price it's even better (was £24/month when we signed up).
Jakg, Toffee has switched too, and apparently he likes it too.
