Nothing technical, but when I am positioning Layers onto the Base of my skins, it seems to be notchy, and AUTO-position my selection, anyone know how to turn it off? So I can place these selections where I want, (freehandedly?)

I think it's in View->Snap

You can leave snap on and set what things to snap to. My guess is that 'Snap to Grid' is on.
