I agree that some of Intrepid's ways of overtaking are a bit crappy but from the kart racing I have seen, it probably works for karts. I admit that Kart racing is not my style either.
If someone did that to me in a touring car race, I would be tempted to ruin a front bumper giving them a wakeup call.

I don't care... This thread is not about driving styles. It is about racing with other RL racers.

it isn't even about driving with real life racers. its about driving with kart racers, and that is how he should have phrased it. if he wants to dive bomb people and force them wide, then fine do it with your kart racers on your special server. but don't act like that is how all racing it is done, because anyone who has any idea what is going on in racing knows that is not true. you can't just expect someone to pull over for you because you decided you want to pass now. you earn your spot along side them and then you race them through the corner.

and don't show up on a public LFS server and expect people to tolerate your kart racing style, because you are not racing karts. when(if) karts make it into LFS then maybe on those servers it will be the norm, but when you are driving a road car in LFS that just isn't how you race. people do not have to move over and they are going to be pissed when you come from nowhere and ram into them.

if intrepid would have just phrased his first post differently none of this would have happened. its obvious that his kart racing style is different from most other racing. but trying to put the rest of us "non-RL" in some category while his is in his "RL racer" category is obviously going annoy people, especially with the attitude he has about the whole thing.

*might be off topic* the idea you have is a good one. i know you want to have "real life" like races. but on your own admission, your not the George Best at this lfs thing. this would mean that while everyone else is "racing hard" you will have nobody to race with . sorry dude, but i am starting to think that you wouldn't be good enough for your own league. but your not in it to win.

what does me competing in a national level kart race have to do with anything? i tried to bring up some valid points there and all you do is throw out your "i'm a real life kart racer" thing again.

you said tolerate 'kart driving style'.... I assume that for you to recognise what a 'kart driving style' is you must have at least competed, or watched a real life national level kart race. Otherwise where would you get an idea of what a 'kart driving style' is, and that comment is totally unfounded????

because you just posted a video of yourself doing it? and you said what it is earlier in this thread? and i've seen kart races before?

and if you're going to get all defensive about it, don't bother, because i didn't say a single bad thing about kart racing. i said you can't show up in a public LFS and do it because no one has any idea you are going to do it and you can't expect them to read your mind. and don't say other LFS racers don't know how to race hard just because they don't race like you.
