I think that in S3 they should have a radio in your car that bradcasts news and stuff about lfs i no this would be hard to do but it would let all the racers keep in touch with whats going on in lfs like race winner and new updates or stuff comming up.

I like you and everything ian, your a nice guy, but i think you need to tone down on this hate against drifters/ricers and so forth. What does FnF have to do with this guys suggestion? He never said he wants to use it to play music out of, he just said he would want it for broadcast's and news, which imo, has NOTHING to do with FnF or anything of that type.
About the suggestion, not a bad idea, but as posted above, the forums are used for that kind of things.

OK, not all these links are suggestions, but............
I despise "drifters" and ricers.. they're like typical drunk kids in a bar, all mouth and no trousers. The world's just becoming more and more stupid as the years go by and mentality levels are dropping rapidly. "Drifters" and ricers generally appear to have a combined IQ of a house brick.. and stupidity annoys me.
What use is a car radio on a track? Give me one good reason, and maybe I'll consider an apology.
It's just lack of thought and some obsessive need to create a new thread like 90% of the "suggestions" we've seen in the past 6 months.. normally coming from "drifters" and ricers alike, not that there's a great deal of difference between the two.

None of those threads mean's he is a ricer. Fair enuff, he made threads about tuning things (i.e NFS RX-7 skin) but in no way does this class him as a ricer. Maybe he just likes the skin? Neither does wanting that engine sound mean he is a ricer. All i am saying to you ian, is tone down on all this bull. There is no need for it, we all know you hate ricers/drifters (BooHoo!) but just keep it to yourself man, there's no need for all this hatin.
A carerra GT engine in what's effectively a Mitsubishi Starion!? That's just funny.. almost as funny as painting nissan sylvia headlights on the top of the XRT's popup headlights
The logos are back to front on that skin request too, did I mention IQ levels already?

Well he is a demo racer. Im sure if he had S2, he would put it on a more suiting car (i.e FZR). The reason the decals are £back to front" is because this save's the drifters money and time.
I doubt there's much that sounds like a carerra gt, except a carerra gt.
Now _that's_ got to be the most stupid reason I've ever heard. How come amateur racers running 1986 Mk2 Fiestas can manage to put sponsors logos / graphics the correct way on both sides of their cars?
It's a stupid trend, much like the pub benches "drifters" often stick on the rear hatch.. seriously, surely the idea of "drifting" is to get the rear wheels loose.. the idea of a rear spoiler is to increase downforce and thus traction... hmm, what was I saying about IQ levels....................

Why does people like you allways have to come and scream out "it`s a damn RACING SIMULATOR" to every suggestion there is. LFS has a lot of things that doesn`t is hardcore racing sim stuff. Now please, I`ll go mental if I need to read one more reply about damn hardcore sim.

U hear it from the speakers around the Track and while sitting in the Pit Box, watching the split times on a monitor from the cars on your current qualifying

I wouldn't use it for any of the reasons OP lists. Mostly because the auto-update feature and the forum suit my needs well.
But a car radio in LFS is good for those who are not disturbed by background music. I like to use it for some boring and repetitive tasks, like setup testing and especially when testing tyre heating/wear up for endurance races. Depending on the driver, some can find even more speed by listening to right kind of music.
I don't see anything funny or wrong with that even radio isn't a normal equipment in a race car (and especially not in a formula car). If you find it disturbing, think that the music is just playing inside your head.
If you have a decent bandwidth and a good ISP, I don't see any lagging even if listening to internet radio.

Why are you climbing all over me? I did read what Aquilifer said, which is fine because it's his opinion. I just don't think a radio has a place in this sim. I would prefer to see the racing aspects of this sim finished for S3, not a radio.

Having a radio that plays music would be useless in LFS. But having a radio that warns you of people when you are re-entering from a crash would be good for all the people who don't use mirrors.....
IT would just be a small option such as having warnings for yellow flags / blue flags / and when u crash about other cars passing...
But there should still be the option or the traditional text messages as whell...
