sorry for the off topic here but im kinda in need of some help.
I've lost/forgotten the password to an old family photo album and am wondering if anyone knows of an app to recover it....obviously I've tried lots and lots from google, but to no avail

You can try Advanced Rar Password Recovery or Advanced Zip Password Recovery. You set the settings you want for searching the password and the program will start testing all possibles passwords until it find the correct. It is brute force and depending on your cpu speed and settings, it can take a few minutes or several months

allready ran that over night to no result

I think there is not other soft to do that, so the only thing you can do is to run it when you can, save the session when you must turn off your PC and continue the saved session when you could
