Just been building a budget upgrade for my bro. I bought a used but (aparently) working Jetway 939 GT4 mobo & a 6600GT for less than £40.

I have just fixed it all in place & fired it up no monitor signal. I tried clearing the cmos still nothing. (& spare grapx card) Everything else seems fine. The fans spins up on everything & the HD is reading. I am a bit stuck, anyone have any ideas??

edit: it is an Sli mobo if that makes any difference with three slots, 16x is the centre yellow slot which i am using.

Does it have onboard graphics ?

You may need to use the onboard to access the BIOS to tell it to use the PCI-E one.

If you've cleared the CMOS (and are sure you did it right) and the GFX card works, theres nothing you can do but blame the board

no onboard so i cant see anything (i.e the bios screen) to change anything?

i ask, jakg as you are the all knowledgeable one when it comes to hardware.

anyways its gone back to the seller, heap 'o' junk. that'll teach me to buy cheap off ebay
