Over here the most desirable plates change hands for silly amounts of money. I don't know what the record is now, but several years ago I recall reading that "K1 NGS" sold for something like £250,000.
A1 was the most expensive AFAIK. God knows how much it went for, something stupid. Edit: Just found this... Quote :MS 1 is the most expensive number plate on today's market, priced at a cool £250,000. (* These prices have now been superseded and the most expensive number plate is around £350,000.)
Quote from Bladerunner :Back in the 1970's, a Mr Paul Raymond (pr0n King of the era) had the number plate "FU 2"...I wonder if that is still around? Another I remember reading about was Jimmy Tarbuck (unfunny Scouse comedian); his plate was "COM 1 C" Paul Daniels has MAG 1 C - you can see it in the back of the Auto Trader Ronnie o'Sullivan, the masterful snooker player has "147 Q" 147 being the highest break in snooker and you use a "Q" and "Cue" when you want to hit the balls about. My name is Niall and N1ALL was for sale at a cool £50,000.

I saw the A1 plate some years ago so I'm not surprised something else has 'beaten' it. No comment on S 1 NGH.
At approx 2 pm (GMT) today, at Wycombe, Bucks; on the A404, I saw a rich b*st*rd in his rich b*st*rd's toy...a bloody Pagani Zonda (B*ST*RD!!!) (Jealous? who? ME??? Nah,.....well, maybe a bit ) Anyway, Reg No: P20 NDA or... P 2ONDA
Saw a taxi go past me while I was cycling home last week, finally remembered to post about it here. The plate? T4 XXY
Quote from Michael Denham :At autocross the other day was a WRX STI with the plate WRX STI. oh i hate people who put what there car is on ther number plate!!! makes me feel so dumb!
