Is €140 ($205) good value for an ATI Radeon X1900 XTX 512mb?

It's a good card, but you need to make sure that your PSU is man enough to handle it, and that the rest of your PC wont hold it back.
would an Intel® Viiv™ technology - Intel® Core™ 2 Duo E6550 processor (2.33GHz), 2048MB 667MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM [2x1024] be able to handle it?

Yes, what power supply is it?
all i know is that it has 300w power supply
Not enough, I have a 500W, with that card, and would recommend at least 450w.

Then it wont work - you'll need a bigger power supply to take pretty much anything faster than a 6-series/x1300
so what would be a good card that will run on 300w

a 6200?

That PSU is pitifully small.
would the 6200 be better then the one that comes with it the 128mb ATI Radeon HD 2400? pro

No the 2400 Pro is better, but the 2400 Pro is still pretty rubbish.
waht about the NVIDIA Geforce 7600GS 512MB?

Probably wouldn't work either...
would the 512mb ATI Radeon Sapphire X1650 PRO work?

.
oh yeah sorry
get a 6600GT that'll work. Just depends on the other games you play & the size of your monitor.
Or 6800GS since it's price seems to be around the same as 6600GT while being significally faster.
I'd recommend going for nVidia. Thier GPUs use overall less wattage and amperage. If you have 19-21 amps on the +12volt rail(s) a 7600GT is your best bet and a 79GS may work. And if you have multiple +12 volt rails, check the "combined amps rating" on your PSU.

Many many people run 7600GTs on 300w PSUs, it's just a factor of having the amperage.
hey ,
i have got the x1900 pro 512mb
it workt fine here , nice fps, good card.

i also havea 300 W power...

so it is possible,

but for example: i know that M.Hoekstra (teammate) is using a x1900 pro 256 mg , but he had to buy a 500W powersurply,
his 300W wasnt engough

i think that its because he have a dual core amd and i have got a single amd. the other stuff of my system is the same.

greets,

Reintjan
Dan, i suggest you invest in a new power supply along with a graphics card. Next time you upgrade something, hopefully you shouldn't have to worry about how much power it consumes.
